After playing for Canada A, Canada U 23 and Rugby Canada in 1993 he set a record winning a dozen caps in less than 12 months. Played against Romania and Australia in the '95 World Cup but missed the South Africa game because of a broken thumb sustained while playing the Wallabies. Resumed against the US in September and played in all of Canada's Pac Rim 1996 tests. Scored his first try for Canada against Japan in '97 Pac Rim and also played against Wales and Ireland, and for the French Barbarians against South Africa in 1997.
