Began his Rugby career as a flanker with Newfoundland and then switched to prop only to win his first cap as hooker against Argentina in 1995. He played in three '95 World Cup games, scoring a try against Romania. Played for Eastern Province in South Africa, before contracting with Newport in the Welsh first division where he still plays. Played on the '96 Australia tour and scored three tries in the '96 Pac Rim Tournament and another against the Eagles in '97. Played for Barbarians R.F.C. on Easter Tour 1998.
