Date of Birth: July 20, 1973 Height: 5'8" Weight: 195 lbs.

Occupation: Professional player. Debut: 1997 Dubai Sevens

Began his playing career in Quebec but moved to British Columbia where he now plays for James Bay AA. Has represented Quebec at the Junior and at Senior levels, as well as for BC against Ontario in 1998. Prominent member of Canada's Sevens team in 1999 and 2000 seasons. Played a season in South Africa with Eastern Province.

Has appeared in 14 Sevens Tournaments for Canada. He played in 8 of the inaugural IRB World Sevens Series, scoring 3 tries for 15 points, and Canada finished as sixth ranked in the world. Shane was a member of the squad which won the Cup at the Chile Sevens, scoring 2 tries - qualifying events for the 2001 RWC Sevens.

In the 2000-2001 Series, he has played in the Durban, Dubai and NZ Tournaments.

Shane was a member of the Canada squad which earned 6th place in the inaugural World Sevens series, including winning the Plate in New Zealand. He has scored 5 tries for 25 points.
