He came to Charlestown, Mass, in 1633 from Hingham England, with his wife and children. He was one of the first settlers of Hingham, Mass.

!Baptism-Spouse-Parentage-OtherInfo: Barbara Lewis Williams p.6-9. !Will: (BLW:8): Exhibited at Plymouth Court 2:2:19 on 3 Mar 1663 on oath of Mr. Thomas Allin of Barnstable. Dated 3 Mar 1663, mentions: "my son Ephraim Lewis", "my son George my son Thomas my son James my son Edward and my son John", "my wife Mary Lewis".
Note: His wife Mary is mentioned in his will. BLW doesn't explicitly say which spouse was the mother of his children, but the first spouse (Sarah Jenkins) would seem to be the more likely.
He was a clothier in East Greenwich, Co. Kent, England. It is not known when he came to Massachusetts, but he owned land in Scituate in 1633 and was living in Plymouth in that year. He was a member of the Plymouth Church, being dismissed in 1634 to join the church in Scituate. He and his brother John and adjacent lots in Scituate and were known as "the men of Kent". In 1636, George was named a freeman, and his brother the following year.
In 1639, he moved to Barnstable and bought a lot second west of Hyannis Road. He had several large parcels of land, some of which were later sold to his sons, Edward and John. In 1648 and 1650 he was surveyor of highways, in 1649 a juryman, and in 1651 a constable. He was a Separatist or Pilgrim, cothier turned planter by necessity, large property owner, and one of the earliest settlers at Barnstable. He was probably buried with the other first settlers near the seashort. His will was exhibited at court 3 Mar 1663. Kent, England, 31 August 1600, married Sarah Jenkins, immigrated as early as 1633, with his family, to Plymouth Colony, resided at Plymouth and Scituate, where he joined the church 20 September 1635, settled before 1641 at Barnstable on Cape Cod, and died before 3 March 1644, when his will was presented at court, through George-2 of Barnstable, baptized at Brenchley 11 November 1627, deid 20 March 1710, whose wife was Mary Lumbard, Jonathan-3..."

Jacques Mahieu

The father of Jeanne, Hester, Antoinette, Francois, and Marie was very probably Jacques Mahieu. He was a witness to the betrothal of Francoise Mahieu and Daniel Cricket. He and his wife (name not recorded) received communion in the Leiden Walloon Church on 10 Jun 1590, with letters of transfer from the Walloon Church in London, dated 30 April 1590.
He came from Lille, now in the northern part of France. Formerly it was of Walloon Flanders. Heavily protestant, the area was captured by Catholic armies under Parma in 1578, and many Walloon Calvinists fled to England directly, while others fled north towards teh Protestant cities of Bruges and Antwerp. When those cities fell in 1585, refugees went across to England or north to Zeeland and Holland. Apparently the Jacques Mahieu was among these refugees, taking with them their young daughters Mary and Franciose.
