Create Opportunities Offense
Simplify things as much as possible. Help players make one or two positive adjustments in their hitting techniques. Most players routinely make basic mistakes. Focus on the fundamentals. There are plenty of opportunities!
Too many players swing too hard and that creates so many other problems! I also see too many players starting with their hands too high, extending the time it takes to get to the ball. Another common mistake is taking a long stride. A shorter stride will help with balance and weight balance is a fundamental key to hitting success. I stress compact swings as a way of having success and building confidence.
Another key, which many coaches and players choose to ignore, is muscle memory. The only way to develop muscle memory is through repetition - practing over and over and over. You can't take too many swings!

weight balance
Baserunning Too many players fail to get base hits because they watch the ball after hitting it. Watch the first baseman's eyes!"
run full speed every time you hit the ball
TEAM OFFENSE NOTES Make all of your poor to average hitters bunters. They will build confidence, have a chance to contribute in key situations and develop into better hitters. Make sure all of your hitters can bunt. Don't underestimate the use of the bunt for getting on base, advancing runners and scoring runs. Practice hitting behind the runner. Practice hitting on 3-2 counts Demand that players run all out everytime they hit the ball PRACTICE CREATING OPPORTUNITIES
