  GUITAR INLAYS

"Mother of Pearl" and Abalone inlays are a great way to customize or personalize your guitar. I can design, cut and inlay just about any design you or I can come up with.
What better way to perminantly "mark" your guitar as yours?

I have a quite estensive collection of shell for inlay, including Abalone, Mother of Pearl, highly figured MOP, Yellow Pearl, and the very rare, Black Pearl. I also cut and inlay solid silver and gold (pricey!)

Here's a GIBSON LES PAUL That I Inlayed a stripe of abalone around the top and re-placed the old fingerboard inlays that were plastic with real abalone

Old inlays removed

Here is the abalone inlays installed :

Very colorful abalone!

and here's the body stripe:

Since the curve of the body constantly changes, each piece had to be measured, drawn, and hand cut individually. Not a bad Up grade!

Here's some crosses I did for a customer in Ohio:

And here are initials that I cut for a customer:

This is how the customer wrote his initials

Note the black boarder

Here are some maltice crosses I inlaied into the flamed Flying Vee, I build for Anthony Manning of Dog Day Sunrise.

Abalone inlays

I chose a yellow pearl for the headstock, to match the yellow of the flames on the body

Here are some ideas of the kinds of inlays I can do .... nothing is too simple of too complex.
