Like many other little girls, I just love my Easy Bake Oven. I have dozens of packets, just waiting to be prepared. But, sometimes, I misplace the basic instructions for these simple treats. In case I'm not the only one, I'm collecting the recipes here and posting them for anyone else who may be in a pickle over a batch of cookies!Also see the top warming Oven instructions.
Most recipies require preheating the Oven for 15 minutes.
Brownies
Grease and flour baking pan before starting.
- Pour contents of mix envelope into mixing bowl
- Add two teaspoons of water
- Mix with a spoon until smooth
- Pour batter into baking pan and spread evenly. Scrape bowl clean with rubber scraper.
- Bake for 12 minutes in Easy-Bake Oven
- Allow pan to cool in cooling chamber for 10 minutes
- When cool, remove brownies from baking pan and cut
Sugar Cookies
Use ungreased baking pan.
- Pour contents of mix envelope into mixing bowl
- Add one teaspoon of water
- Mix with a spoon, press dough against side of bowl until it clings together
- Cut a sheet of waxed paper and sprinkle it with a teaspoon of flour.
- Roll dough into a ball with your hands.
- Place dough on waxed paper and roll it out.
- Cut into shapes. Use all dough
- Place shapes into baking pan.
- Bake for 6 minutes in Easy-Bake Oven
- Allow pan to cool in cooling chamber for 10 minutes
Chocolate-Flavored Chip Cookies
Grease baking pan before starting.
- Pour contents of mix envelope into mixing bowl
- Add one teaspoon of water
- Mix with a spoon
- Drop dough by small amounts into baking pan. Bake only about 3 cookies in a pan.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes in Easy-Bake Oven
- Allow pan to cool in cooling chamber for 10 minutes
Devils Food Cake
Grease and flour baking pan before starting.
- Pour contents of mix envelope into mixing bowl
- Add three teaspoons of water
- Mix with a spoon until smooth
- Pour batter into baking pan and spread evenly. Scrape bowl clean with rubber scraper.
- Bake for 12 minutes in Easy-Bake Oven
- Allow pan to cool in cooling chamber for 10 minutes
- When cool, remove brownies from baking pan and cut
Yellow Cake
Grease and flour baking pan before starting.
- Pour contents of mix envelope into mixing bowl
- Add three teaspoons of water
- Mix with a spoon until smooth
- Pour batter into baking pan and spread evenly. Scrape bowl clean with rubber scraper.
- Bake for 12 minutes in Easy-Bake Oven
- Allow pan to cool in cooling chamber for 10 minutes
- When cool, remove brownies from baking pan and cut
Frosting
- Pour contents of mix envelope into mixing bowl
- Add one teaspoon of warm water
- Mix with a spoon until smooth
- Spread over cake with a spatula
