The philosophy of New Castle Regional Ballet is to offer a program of proper ballet training to young dancers, an outlet to share their talent with the community, and a vehicle to educate the public in the art of ballet. To do this, NCRB provides a disciplined, professional training program, emphasizing technique and style with the highest quality instruction.  Professional visiting teachers hold yearly workshops and provide unique choreography for the company's dancers. NCRB students have continuously been selected to prestigious summer programs including San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the Governor's School for the Arts, and the nation's premier training ground--Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.

It is also the company's philosophy to educate the local and surrounding communities with an outreach program sponsored by the Board of Directors' Education Committee.  In the last five years, NCRB has presented (at minimal cost to the schools) Peter and the Wolf, Snow White, Cinderella, and The Secret Garden to thousands of elementary school students in our area.  The 2000 project presented The Nutcracker to 2000 of the area's school students to celebrate the holiday season. This year's school performance will be held on December 3, 2001.
