2000 NCRB Regional Dancers in Miniatures for the RDA/NE Festival in Canton, Ohio. The New Castle Regional Ballet provides dance instruction at all levels, from pre-school to 18 years old. In conjunction with the Parou Ballet School and the Menichino School for Dance, the serious dance student can choose from ballet, jazz and tap classes. The Parou Ballet School, under the direction of Debbie Parou, exposes dancers to proper ballet instruction and to recognized guest teachers and choreographers. At whatever level of instruction one decides upon, the program is always professional and promotes a disciplined environment that enhances the individual dancer's growth within the world of ballet and into college and professional world. Ballet I--Beginners Level with 1 hour class, 1 day per week Ballet II-Beginner-Intermediate Level with 1 hour class, 1 day per week. Division 1 (A)-1 1/4 hour class, 1 day per week Division 1 (B)-1 1/4 hour class, 2 days per week Division 2--5/14 hours per week Division 3--6 1/2 hours per week Division 4--7 hours per week Those dancers who have decided to make ballet their major area of concentration are given the status in the company of being called "regional dancers". They are the dancers who give the most time, thereby receiving first chance to be chosen for the Regional Dance America choreography which is performed at the annual regional Dance America/Northeast festivals.
