2000 NCRB Regional Dancers in Torn for the Regional Dance America/Northeast Festival in Canton, Ohio.

Regional Dance America was formed in 1988 to promote artistic development of dance companies throughout the United States and to continue the work of the National Association for Regional Ballet founded in 1963.  RDA is dedicated to fostering quality, promoting education, and nurturing the talents of dancers and choreographers.  The five geographical areas (Northeast, Mid States, Southwest, Pacific, and Southeast) comprise a membership of over two hundred companies, many of which are nationally recognized professional groups.  The pinnacle of the regional organizations' activities are yearly regional festivals consisting of performing, classes conducted by outstanding teachers, and discussion groups for learning more about the field of professional dance.
