New Castle Regional Ballet's major yearly production is
The Nutcracker on the first Sunday in December at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, East Lincoln Avenue, New Castle, Pennsylvania. Over 100 performers bring to life the story of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King. After Clara helps the Nutcracker defeat the Mouse King and his band of mice, follow her in her beautiful swan sleigh pulled by the baby snowflakes as she travels from the Land of the Snowflakes to the Land of the Sweets. Join Clara and her Prince as they are guests of the Sugar Plum Fairy to see the dances by the Spanish dancers, Chinese, Tarantella, Russian, Reed Flutes, and Mother Ginger with her candies and bon-bons. NCRB's 15th anniversary production will be December 2, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. . For information on NCRB programs, auditions and tickets, call 724.652.1822. |
