call for papers

Participants who wish to present a paper for oral or poster presentation are invited to submit an abstract for consideration for inclusion in the congress program. The abstract should be formatted as follows:

  • written in English with not more than 300 words;

  • on an 8.5” x 11” template (MS Word) with 1” margin on all sides;

  • the text should be 12-point Times New Roman font;

  • single-spaced, justified paragraphs, the title should be in bold capital letters;

  • the title, name(s) of author(s), designation(s), address(es) should be centered on the page;

  • underline the name of the presentor, and

  • write underneath the abstract your preferred division: biochem, nat. prod., organic, phychem/materials, inorganic, environmental, analytical, chemical education, or others (please indicate).

The Abstract should either be submitted by e-mail as an attached file or by mailing a diskette copy of the file.  The deadline for submission of Abstracts is 30 January 2003.  The diskette copy should be mailed to:

The corresponding author of a paper will be notified of acceptance for presentation in the congress by 15 March 2003. Upon notification of the acceptance of the paper, the presentor (must be a co-author) must pre-register to guarantee inclusion of the paper in the congress program. A presentor must be registered at the congress to be allowed to present. 

The author(s) should also prepare an Extended Abstract for publication in the Proceedings of the 19th PCC (which will come out a year later).  The Extended Abstract provides more details; it should not exceed three pages including tables, graphs, or diagrams. The Extended Abstract should be submitted on a diskette at the congress proper.
