In point of fact we don't visit web sites.
Rather, we conjure them out of cyberspace with incantations called URLs.

We call them to us to appear in the magic circle of our computer screens, to deliver the information required and then are dispatched to accomplish our desired tasks like some servant spirit or simply banished back into the void of swirling electrons out of which they were composed.

The wide web of connections between web sites and pages is truly virtual:
--being only a potential embodied in the name-address that is the uniform resource locator
--until invoked by the click of a mouse or a keystroke.
Then, that small symbol calls forth whatever potency is hidden behind that name.

Tell me, in this world of UNIX demons and setup-wizards,
how is this any different then the sorcerer's art?
