|
his
section of the Gambit Group site contains a select group of links devoted
to Gambit. Sites are rated from one to four 'stars' and in order of
quality. There's also a smaller section containing more general Marvel
fansites and a section with a few other web pages that our staff found
interesting. Please report any broken links HERE.
THE
GAMBIT GUILD |
The
definitive Gambit site. Great design incorporated with an extensive
history of Gambit, his allies and his enemies, as well as a discussion
group, mailing list and a few fun Gambit games. |
THE
LeBEAU LIBRARY |
A
huge library of Gambit fan fiction, all high-quality. The site is
simple and easy to navigate, and it contains hundreds of Gambit
stories in every genre imaginable. |
CHARGED
HEARTS |
A
small Gambit and Iceman fansite (not a slash site), which has a
very nice design and some nice Gambit-centric features, including
a small but select image gallery. |
ACE
OF HEARTS |
Great
site design here, but lacking in content, and the linked web pages
don't load correctly. This site is still under construction, so
check back from time to time for improvement. |
BELA'S
GAMBIT PAGE |
A
well-done, simple site with loads of information on Gambit. Short
on graphics, but makes up for it in well-researched and informative
pages. Also contains a large link and fan fiction section. |
SPADE'S
HOME PAGE |
A
fan art gallery with a large, excellent selection of Gambit drawings.
|
GAMBIT
SANCTUM |
A
very small site. The only features seem to be a message board and
several webring banners, hopefully with links to more informative
sites. |
REMY
LeBEAU |
A
nicely designed site, but there's nothing here that you couldn't
find at half a dozen other Gambit pages. |
THE
RAGIN' CAJUN HOME PAGE |
One
of the few Gambit sites with multimedia. Has some popular sound
and video clips, but scant info on Gambit's other aspects, and the
site design is substandard. |
GAMBIT
THE RAGIN' CAJUN |
This
site's designer actually managed to misspell 'ragin' in the title,
but the site has some content to make up for the abysmal design
and presentation of media. |
GAMBIT!
|
Contains
the completely standard, Marvel-authored non-information on the
Cajun and nothing else. This site's only saving grace is it's not-totally-crappy
design. |
LeBEAU
STUDIO |
A
flashy but confusing image gallery site with slow load times. The
image galleries are extensive, but it's almost not worth the effort
to actually reach the picture pages. The site is still under construction,
however, so the rating may improve. |
GAMBIT'S
KINGDOM |
Awful
design and presentation, but this site has some pretty fun trivia
and polls. A time waster, not for info-seeking fans. |
THE
RAGIN' CAJUN - GAMBIT |
Yet
another site that managed to misspell Gambit's nickname (yes, that
'g' is in 'ragin'' for a reason.) This site is poorly designed and
features nothing new or interesting. |
GAMBIT'S
WORLD |
A
weird lil' fanpage with just the bare essentials of Gambit's biography
and some bad pictures. |
REMY
LeBEAU, THE RAGIN' CAJUN |
This
is not, technically, a site or even a home page. It's a profile
of Gambit slapped on the page in unreadable HTML, topped with some
very large and low-resolution graphics. Not even worthy of a rating.
|
MARVEL
DIRECTORY |
A
huge, well-designed site that's a big ol' online Marvel encyclopedia.
If you're looking for information on any character in the Marvel
Universe, chances are you'll find it here. |
WILDCAT'S
HOME PAGE |
A
fan page devoted to the maker's alternate X-Universe (hence the
name), and the archive for four pieces of epic Gambit fan fiction.
A ultra-simple design makes navigating easy. All Gambit fan fiction
on this site is must-read. Our only caveat is beware the Comet Cursors.
|
X-FAN
|
A
former four-star site, X-Fan's recent move has reduced it to a mere
message board, but it's still the place to go for X-Men news, comic
reviews, and intelligent discussion. |
MARVEL.COM
|
The
official site of Marvel Comics Inc. Short on real information, but
big on biographies and sound bites about the Marvel Universe. Also
contains cool multimedia and lots of fun time-wasting bits and pieces.
|
WIZARD
WORLD.COM |
A
online comic store that offers you a feature to keep track of and
price your comics collection online. You can also buy and sell,
much like eBay. The site is a bit difficult to navigate, and adding
comics to your inventory is tedious, but it's well worth the effort
for the sheer joy of watching those bits of paper and ink gain value.
|
FANFICTION.NET
|
A
fanfiction site for every genre imaginable, including X-Men (movie,
comic, and Evolution all have seperate catagories.) The only drawbacks
are the site's frequent bugs and the huge volume of amature or just
plain terrible writing. |
