DEFINITIONS
ABC KIDS
(Updated: 9/3/10) Somehow, it makes perfect sense that the final week is one where they use the lame excuse that ABC can drop MMv2 from the weekly ratings report because it wasn't available in enough markets (because of the West Coast pre-emptions for Little League baseball). I just want to know -- and I know I never will -- why they were so inconsistent in including no-PT shows in some weeks and not others. My hunch is that it was their crutch to keep the horrid numbers out of the mix. (And that says something when they allowed huge numbers like 0.4 and 0.3 to be included) So, that's it. I have no clue as to what type of numbers we'll get from Nickelodeon. And, if the show does wind up on Nicktoons on Saturday mornings, how will they compare to what was posted on ABC Family and Toon Disney at the same time? The 2010 charts track MMv2's performance against the ratings of OO, JF and RPM. The seasons before them (SPD and MF) are of a different time and sport numbers which are no longer attainable. The ratings pages for past seasons (links at the bottom of this page) will have the old charts. When there are unreported or pre-empted weeks, the numbers are averaged out from one reported rating to the next over the missing weeks.
The second chart shows the week-by-week ratings of the four programs. The current season of MMv2 will be the only one with a line connecting successive weeks. It makes the chart a lot less cluttered. And, we have now switched over to the second-half chart for the weekly ratings. This one won't be in service for long, since the MMv2 season stops at Week 35.
With the removal of DT and SPD, the new-episode chart gets shortened to 32 episodes, which is the length of all seasons shown (yes, MMv2's first -- and only -- "season" will only go to ep #32 even though MMPR's first season was 40 episodes long).
This blue line is averaged over the un-reported weeks just as the top ratings chart.
(3/16/09 note:) As usual, I'm leaving the cable numbers up as a point of reference, since RPM is broadcast-only. Of course, if Disney decides to change its mind, I'll revive a cable chart for whatever numbers are available. (6/14/10 note:) I can't tell what the Nick/Nicktoons schedules will be like but if there's PR on Nickelodeon on Saturday mornings, these numbers will be dwarfed. Who knows?
