First of all, there's the original Scene 4. You know, the one I took out for fear of being killed? Well I kept it for posterity. WARNING: It's a Dax/Bashir scene (Ezri, unfortunately, but it was all I had to work with.) so, again, non-shippers turn back now! I wrote this around the time of the Grand Finale of Deep Space 9, I think this was a couple of episodes before. As usual, the tension between the two of them, which I'd followed for ages and which the writers decided to drag out to breaking point, was absolutely eating me alive... this is the psyche satisfaction. My one reader of this has said that it nearly made her cry... interpret that how you will.
Secondly, there's an untitled little extra scene I came up with. I'm not sure if I can find a place to put this; I reached a stage where I was coming up with interesting ideas that didn't really fit in with the original plot (and that was months ago, I've still got writer's block!). Anyway, this is just something I thought might be funny.
Lastly, there's my first idea, even my first draft if you will, of the final scene of the fic... it's the ending in advance for those of you who are impatient! I have no idea where that last section came from, by the way. My brain works in mysterious ways!
