“Mirror Image”

Vera Miles has always had that look that made her great for playing roles of the super bitch.  Still, she was gentle and warm in “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance”.  Therefore, we must call her a super actress.  But, she can really play the bitch well.  Look for her great performance in a crazy cool episode of the original “The Outer Limits.”   I think she might be the type of woman who could slap me and have me enjoy it.  Slap me, slap me, please.

            In the “Mirror Image”, Miss Miles plays traveler, Millicent. Waiting for a bus at a nameless bus station, she has stepped into a parallel universe.  Or, maybe her twin has stepped into our universe from a parallel universe.  We really are never sure here.  Whatever the case, it causes the put upon Millicent to slowly and almost deliberately go stark raving mad.   There is something very interesting about Vera Miles and she is said to have been one of Hitchcock’s favorites.
