Charles "Chuck" Ferrari was the head coach of the Warrior varsity program for six years from 1957-58 until 1962-63. During this period, his teams were 36-33 in Desert-Inyo League play and 61-49 overall. While his teams never won a league championship, his best team was the 1959-60 Warriors, finishing in 2nd place behind Bishop with a 10-3 record; 16-7 overall.
Coach Ferrari was a native of Wyoming graduating from Kemmerer High School, Wyoming, in 1943. After high school, Ferrari served in the US Army for nearly three years. After serving his country, Ferrari attended the University of Wyoming earning both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Education.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming, Ferrari was a teacher at Hanna, Wyoming for six years. As a coach, he guided the 1954 football team to a State football championship.
Ferrari came to the Tehachapi Unified School District in 1957.
