1. Got my laptop (and I'm using it right now). 2. NBA FINALS PREDICTION: LA Lakers over Detroit (in 5). 3. The new Angelfire/TriPod Search Sidebar (see <----) sucks hardcore, easily the single worst thing they've ever done as far as ads/popups; AND it doesn't even advertise anything but other sites. It essentially makes them NO money, and it replaced the banner ads. Dumbfounding move on their part. All in all though, I very much prefer the banner ads/pop-ups. |

It seems that Angelfire is very quickly going to hell; first with various javascript errors which popped up whenever I clicked a link here that goes outside this site, then with GIANT National Guard ads which appear occasionally and push the entire site down a page, and now the bottom banner ad aligns itself right over my site (scroll down a little bit to see). I understand that this is all free, but what good is it if I can't even see my own site beneath banner ads? |

Turns out the *** asterik system of getting e-mails through the sea of spam I get isn't entirely fool-proof. While looking at my bulk mail folder through Outlook Express, I saw an e-mail about Terranigma maps preceeded by asteriks that was immediatly processed out (Outlook express will show old messages before it updates according to what's in my account). I looked into Hotmail's options, and did some things that I hope will prevent this sort of thing. Using the filter system, all e-mails that contain the following words in their subjects will be automatically forwarded to my inbox (which I check every few days) instead of my junk mail box (which I rarely check). The magical words are: map, terranigma, earthbound, ***, request, battledome, and angelfire. If you've ever sent me an e-mail that I never replied to, it would be because hotmail mistakenly put it in my Bulk Mail folder. So if that has ever happened to you, please try to resend it with one or more of the mentioned words. And The USN Message Board is always a good way to get ahold of me as well (though I check it less frequently). Again, apologies to anyone that I've failed to reply to in the past. |

I found this page. It is a collection of 100,000 or so hotmail account addresses. My e-mail is on there. I get 50-70 pieces of spam-mail every day. I am not exactly happy here. On a free list no less! I'm cheap! If you get lots of spam and you have hotmail, check that page, you're probably on there.In a related note, though decided independantly; whenever e-mailing me, please put three asteriks (*) at the begining of your subject. This is to help me differentiate your mail from the afformentioned 50-70 pieces of spam I get EVERY DAY. |
