My Journal entry - 30 December 2003

Today is Imogen's 3rd birthday. I haven't really known what to do with this day. Kieron and I have not planned anything special this year. We got Imogen a cake and I bought her a Barbie, since 3 year olds love Barbies. I also made Imogen's Bear a cute summer outfit. It's a black and white checked tunic with shorts. I think it looks quite smart and elegant actually. It brings a smile to my face. But other than that, I've just napped all day and been quiet. It's not what I prefer, I would prefer doing something special.

I would love to go shout from the cliff, IT'S IMOGEN's BIRTHDAY!!!!! I'd love to have a Goodyear Blimp circle the beaches with a marque that says, HAPPY BIRTHDAY IMOGEN!!! Maybe have a million balloon's released at tomorrow nights New Years Eve Celebration - The news readers could say, "One Million Balloons in Memory of IMOGEN were released from the Harbour Bridge tonight." But none of that will be happening..........

I don't know why this year in particular is so hard. Maybe it is because last year at this time, I didn't think I would be sitting here like this, as if nothing at all has happened - it's the same year all over again. I guess I have to try to find a way to get used to that. But I always hope it will be different.......What a terrible thing to have to get used to.........

I will write a letter later, something. I will do something. But for now, we are going to the movies, taking Imogen Bear with us.
