- DRESS CODE: Those not adhering to dress codes will not
be allowed to participate in class.
- Male & Female: Only supplied leotard, biketard, or unitard with appropriate tights or
socks.
- Shoes: Varies with each class.
- Jewelry: No hanging jewelry is permitted.
- Hair: Must be pulled back and off the neck.
- ATTENDANCE: Students must be on time for class. Tardiness
will interrupt the class and teacher. There are no refunds for missed classes. Make-up classes
are available for absences deemed excusable by the instructor. We can not be responsible for
your child(ren) before or after class except in emergencies.
- WITHDRAWALS: Any student who wishes to withdraw from
class may do so by sending written notice 30 days in advance. No refunds are granted for any
classes missed during the month in which a student withdraws. Students are responsible for
all tuition until this written notice is received.
- DANCE RECITAL: The dance season ends in November with a recital. Participation
in the recital is optional. A recital fee and prop fee is required for all performers. This fee
covers costume, theatre rental and other production costs. This fee is due upon demand, so
costumes may be ordered to arrive on time.
- RECITAL WITHDRAWAL: Withdrawal from the recital after plans have been made
creates problems for our faculty and other students. Once a student has committed to the recital,
we ask that he/she fulfill his/her obligation to the others involved. Therefore, any student withdrawing
from the dance recital for reasons other than illness or relocation will forfeit their entire recital
fee plus their costumes.
- FEES: All class fees are due on or by the 1st class of the month. A $15.00 late fee
will be added to all fees paid after the second class of the month. Checks are payable to
Shirley W. Smith. There will be a $25.00 charge on all returned checks. Effective January 1,
2000, first and last months tuition, (January and November), must be paid by the first class in
January, 2000.
- NO ADMITTANCE: Is allowed in the studio, during any class time, for anyone other
than the student, without prior permission from a faculty member.
- NO FOOD OR DRINK: Is allowed (except water) anywhere. This includes all guests.
All gum must be discarded prior to class.
- NO RUNNING: Is allowed in the studio or waiting area.
- WAITING AREA: All visitors and other children waiting for classes must not be disruptive
to classes or other occupants in the building.
- POOR ATTITUDES: From students or parents may result in dismissal from the studio.
Our studio reserves the right to admit or dismiss anyone.
- COMMUNICATION: Between parents, staff and students will be handled by e-mail,
and/or posting on main bulletin board located in the waiting room. Parents please remember
to check the information posted each time your child attends class, as well as, check our website often for updates.
