The minister saw the two weavers pretending to weave on an empty loom. He could not see the cloth or the thread. The minister did not want to appear stupid. He did not want people to know that he could not see the cloth. |
The minister told the Emperor that the cloth was beautiful. It had many different colors and patterns.
The Emperor was very pleased. A while later the Emperor sent another minister to look at the cloth.
This minister also saw nothing. He did not want to appear dull so he pretended to see the cloth.
