The Emperor
took off all his clothes. The weavers pretended to help him put on his new clothes. They pulled pants over his legs and pulled his shirt over his arms. They pretended to button his shirt. Then they put on his coat and |
long train. Everyone said how wonderful the Emperor looked. No one would say that they could not
see the clothes. The Emperor turned round and round in front of the mirror.
"I am ready for the parade." he said. His maids pretended to lift the train from the ground so the
Emperor could walk.
