The next day, there was a parade
through the town. The Emperor was to wear his new clothes as he led the parade. Everyone was excited. They could hardly wait to see the Emperor in his new clothes. |
On the morning of the parade, the Emperor went into the room where the weavers worked. They
pretended to show the Emperor and his servants the new clothes.
"Here are the pants, the shirt and the coat." said the weavers. The Emperor and his servants said the
new clothes were beautiful. No one would dare say that they could not see the Emperor's new clothes.
"Please, Your Majesty, you must take off your clothes so we can help you into your new clothes."
said one of the weavers.
