It is undeniable that living
with the zx2 is not that easy and quite expensive,
. The originals are very expensive. These are the alternatives for the
zxr to survive. You can also add your tip here,
.You'll never could survive alone in the zxr community. Please inform

Oil Filter [ zidxr / Batu
Pahat / 7 Dis 2002 ]
You could use car oil filters
or other bike oil filters as vulcan for the zxr. It is cheaper. But make
sure that the oil filter's size is correct. Price ( RM 7 - RM 25 ) Original
( RM ).
Spark Plug [ zidxr / Batu
Pahat / 7 Dis 2002 ]
Actually any spark plug will
do as long the size and reach are the same. The heat range should be 8
or 9 [ NGK ]. Make sure to use the one with the R ( Resistor ) type as
the bike has electronic ignition. Price ( RM 7 - RM 28 ) Original ( RM
).
Signal Flasher [ zidxr /
Batu Pahat / 7 Dis 2002 ]
Dont use original ones. Local
ones has the same functions and so much cheaper. Use 12 Volts flashers
from RXZ, TZM, KIPS, etc. Price ( RM 5 - RM 8 ) Original ( RM 50 ).
Chain [ zidxr / Batu Pahat
/ 7 Dis 2002 ]
The original chain for the
bike is an endless type that doesnt have a connecting pin. It is quite
expensive and hard to install. For normal use, low speed, just for commuting,
use the one with the pin. It is far more cheaper. Price ( RM 48 - RM 60
) Original ( RM 200 ).
Starter Relay [ zidxr / Batu
Pahat / 7 Dis 2002 ]
Every starter relay has the
same characteristics. Choose one from small bikes as kriss. It is cheaper.

Rear Brake Pads [ zarxr /
Batu Pahat / 8 Dis 2002 ]
You'll never want to use
your rear brakes agressively. So it is wiser to use local and cheap brake
pads. Although low in quality and grip, its is sufficient to stop the bike.
Aggresive use of the rear is an invitation to a highside [ you fly over
the bike then bikes lands above or ON you, usually ON ]. Price ( RM 15
- RM 28 ) Original ( RM ).
Speedometer Cord [ kee /

Use Kawasaki KR150 speedometer cord. it only cost you at around RM 11-15. . Price ( RM 11
- RM 15 ) Original ( RM 27.50 ).
Thermostat Removal [ ezzar /

Remove your radiator thermostat. It is a mechanism that will only open and allow coolant flow when it is hot enough. But it is not quite used in Malaysia because of hot wheather. So remove it!
