Potter Residence- continued...
Pacey joins Joey on the couch...
Pacey: He's asking for his Aunt JoJo to come tell him goodnight.
Joey: Okay. Let me just take the tape out. ( She does and goes in the other room )
She comes back in the room and sits next to Pacey...
Joey: He's asleep.
Pacey smiles and they start kissing... She pulls away...
Pacey: Are you okay?
Joey: Yeah. I'm just a little tired. I think I might go to bed earlier. We've been at sea for so long, I'm ready to just collapse in my own bed.
Pacey: Are you sure that's it?
Joey: What are you saying?
Pacey: Well, I think there's more to it for you not wanting to kiss me than you being tired. And I think his name starts with a D.
Joey: You're joking, right?
Pacey: I saw your face when you were watching that video of you and Dawson. Do you regret coming on that trip with me?
Joey: What? How can you say that?
Pacey: I'm just looking at the facts here, Jo. We come back from our trip and you're completely different.
Joey: So, just because I don't feel like making out with you, I'm suddenly different?
Pacey: Yeah. When we were on the boat, we couldn't stand to be away from each other. What's changed?
Joey: Nothing. I told you I'm just tired. It has nothing to do with Dawson. And if you keep comparing what we have with what I have with Dawson, this isn't going to work.
Pacey: Don't you mean " had " with Dawson?
Joey: I said " had ".
Pacey: No, you said " have " with Dawson. That's quite a " Freudian slip " , Jo and it speaks volumes. It's getting late. I have to go. ( He leaves )
Bessie and Bodie return...
Bessie: What is with Pacey? He looked pretty mad.
Joey: We had a fight.
Bessie: Well, that 's inevitable. The " honeymoon period ' doesn't last forever, Joey.
Joey: ( rolls her eyes ) I'm going to bed. Goodnight. ( She goes to her room )
Leery Residence- Dawson and Amber on the porch talking...
Amber: I can't believe your parents are letting you stay here without supervison while they're on their honeymoon. That's what I call very trusting.
Dawson: Yeah. They're the best. It's so good to have my family together again.
Amber: So, what's the deal with your friend Joey?
Dawson: What do you mean?
Amber: Well, she left in a such a hurry. Do you think she liked me? Will we end up being friends?
Dawson: I hope so. I think she was just embarassed when she saw us making out. Plus, she had that thing to do for Bessie. She couldn't stay long.
Amber: I don't know. I sensed tension between you two. Did you have a fight or something?
Dawson: It's a really long story that I'd rather not talk about right now. Let's just say that it's all in the past and I'm over it. The future is all I'm worried about.
Amber: Okay. I won't pry, but I hope you know that you can talk to me about anything. If you ever want to vent, I'm here. ( She smiles )
Dawson: I know. Thank you. I'm really happy you're here.
Amber: Me too. But I have to go back to Philly in two weeks. So, I suggest we make the most of our time together. ( She smiles )
Dawson:( smiles ) Sounds good to me.
They start kissing...she pulls away...
Amber: Wow! I didn't realize it was so late.
Dawson: It is? I didn't notice. ( he smiles )
Amber: Goodnight. (She kisses him )
Dawson: Goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow.
She leaves... Dawson goes up to his room. He's not sleepy, so he looks through some college brochures and opens up the Philadelphia one Amber gave him...
