From larrypigtails: Congrats on the full-season pickup!
Kristen: I'm so happy and so excited and thrilled about the full-season pickup. I love my job so much.
From anonymous: Veronica Mars has some of the best dialogue since Buffy. How do you pull off lines like, "Flat?" "As God made," without cracking up?
[Laughs.] It's really hard because the dialogue is so smart and witty. It's just a matter of practicing and getting the giggles out of my system before we shoot.
From Jay_Jacobs: How do you feel about having your show compared by many (including me) to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Alias?
I'm flattered to be a part of that category. Those are shows that I love and audiences love as well.
From mycatz2: Ms. Bell, for all those who haven't seen the show, why should we watch Veronica Mars?
That's a tough one to answer. Because there are so few females out there who are strong and witty and funny, and who are tough enough not to be considered too girlie, who can also hold both a male and female audience. Also, Veronica Mars is not like anything else on television. It's funny, sad, dramatic and entertaining, but it's still rooted in a reality that everyone can relate to. I wanted to play Veronica because I would want to be friends with her. And I think that's why people love the show so much.
From anonymous: Were you overwhelmed by the response at the mall tour in Seattle?
The line was out the door, we didn't get to half of them, and people were crying and screaming. I couldn't believe it.
From peach211: Full-season pickup for Veronica Mars. Yeah!
Thank you to you guys for watching and supporting! You made it possible.
From Melanie: You and Enrico Colantoni have great chemistry as daughter and dad. What is it like working with him? Any funny stories?
He is one of the greatest human beings on this earth. He's funny, caring, genuine and absolutely wonderful. Offscreen we're just as tight as we are onscreen.
From nmr81: How sad were you to find out that Troy was a bad boy? He was so, so cute.
Oh, Troy was a doll. I was furious when he became a bad boy. Frankly, I hope that he learns the errors of his ways in the future and comes back to the show.
From Elizabeth_P.: Veronica Mars, Neptune High; shouldn't you be driving a Saturn or a Mercury? Just kidding! Will we ever get to see any Veronica-Duncan lovin' again?
Ewww...and absolutely. I can't tell you when it's coming, but I can tell you there are more flashbacks on the way. As well as much more development in the relationship in the present day.
From Eric: What drew you to the role of Veronica Mars? Was it the writing or something else?
Definitely the writing. And also the true grit of her personality. It's rare to see girls that empowered. She's so scrappy and such the firecracker. It's nice to be able to hold your own in a "man's world."
From secretstar77_fro: Any chance Veronica and Weevil will do more than flirt?
Kristen: We're shooting episode nine right now, and let me just say this: Anything is possible.
From Patrick: Who's hotter--Logan or Duncan? Is it sick if I think Logan?
Kristen: How does one choose? I mean, Duncan is a hot, sweet, good boy. But Logan is a hot, studly, bad boy. I'll give you a different answer every day of the week. I go back and forth.
From copsister: Lovin' Veronica Mars. Can you please give the loyal viewers a hint? Does Lilly's killer reside within the Kane household?
The writers are so tight-lipped about the murder. None of us on the show know, and for all I know, I could find out that I did it.
From larrypigtails: I have heard that they are going to reveal Lilly's killer by the end of the season. Is that true?
The cliff-hanger won't be who killed Lilly, it will be something different. But yes, you will find out.
From party_girl: What direction will the show take after we find out?
There are so many mysteries and layers to the show: There's my mom and how she's connected; you have Veronica's rape; and by finding out who the murderer is, you delve deeper into the problems of Neptune.
From rsherrod1976: I love the show! Is there a chance for Veronica and Duncan?
You'll definitely see their relationship explored and find out where it's going to go by the end of this season. Personally, I think your first true love means the world to you, and Duncan is Veronica's. Can you ever really let that go?
From csisagent004: Kristen, you are a wonderful actress! You're another Jennifer Garner and Sarah Michelle Gellar, and I think that you deserve a Emmy nomination! How does that make you feel?
Ah, thank you. You'll be the first one I thank in my acceptance speech. It's an honor just to be mentioned as a possibility for such a thing. I mean, I'm living my dream.
From cindyb63: Will we find out sometime this season why Veronica's mom left?
I am not sure if you will find out by the end of this season. I have more guesses as to who the murderer is than as to why my mom left. No one will tell me a stinking thing.
From rainer33: Is it difficult to play Veronica Mars without knowing everything about your character, like where your mom is and all that?
You just have to put your trust in the writers and know that everything you need to know is on the page.
From kevin_m_mcdonoug: Why is the level of hate for Veronica from most of the school at such a nasty level? There has to be more to it than just the "accusing the billionaire of murder" thing?
It's that, layered on top of what we all remember about how cruel high school can be. Veronica doesn't have money like everyone else, and her mom leaving was such an embarrassment. Neptune is a wealthy cookie-cutter lifestyle. Being friends with someone who has real-life problems isn't an option for these kids at her school. Neptune is full of spoiled brats.
From csisagent004: Kristen, I think that your mom has something to do with Lilly's murder. Any thoughts?
I am actually completely clueless as to whether she has anything to do with Lilly's murder. I hope she doesn't, but as twisted as this plot gets, I wouldn't be surprised. Amanda (Lilly) isn't a regular castmember because she only comes back in flashbacks, and she's also on a new show called Big Love.
From Kristin Veitch: Kristen B. has to get back to set, but I'm prying one more question out of her: Do you think you know who killed Lilly Kane?
Well, um...They haven't told me, but I've done some Veronica Mars sleuthing, and I think I know.
From Kristin Veitch: Will you just tell me? Just whisper it in my ear?
I can't! I don't want to even say it out loud because I haven't told anyone yet, but it's really good.
