9. David Jackson Curttright - He was born September 28, 1844 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan. He married Frances Clarinda Lyons (daughter of Robert and Damarius Lyons) on April 24, 1870 in Jones Co., Iowa.  David died on June 13, 1925. Both David and Clarinda are buried in the Olin Cemetery in Olin, Iowa. Clarinda was born in November of 1844 and died in 1919.  They had six children.

A. Charles Halison Curttright - born June 1871 near Anamosa, Iowa in Fairview Township.  He married Lula Emma Tarbox Simmons on August 7, 1892 in Iowa.  She was the daughter of Edgar Tarbox and Mary Perry.  (Lula Emma later married Charles’ brother George Lafayette Curttright)  Charles and Lula had one daughter.

i.  Hazel Marie Curttright - born in November 1893 in Iowa.  She married Ole Agotness on April 14, 1911 at Ft. Dodge, Iowa. 

Charles’ second marriage was  to Mary Gracey of Rhodes, Iowa.  They married on January 31, 1906.  Mary was the daughter of George Gracey and Addie Mitchel Gracey. Charles died on November 13, 1937.  Charles and Mary had seven children.

vi.  Clarence Earle Curttright – Clarence was born on December 24, 1916 in Wyoming Co., Iowa.  He died on December 28, 1989 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He is buried in Cedar Memorial Cemetery.  He married Vivian Rose Dvorak on March , 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Vivian was born on July 1, 1920 at Irving, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Benjamin Peter Dvorak and Agnes Anna Zeman.  Clarence and Vivian had two children.

I.       LaDonna Lee Curttright –She married Kenneth Dean Grout.  They had two children.

II.              Constance Mae Curttright – She was born on May 26, 1950 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and died on November 13, 1987.  She is buried in Cedar Memorial Cemetery.  She married Larry J. Cole on May 17, 1975 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

B. Freeman D. Curttright - born in 1874 in Iowa.  He married Mary A. Carson on March 30, 1895 in Center Junction, Iowa.  Mary was born about 1872 in Center Junction, Iowa.  She was the daughter of James Carson and Lavina Eby.  Freeman died on December 3, 1922 at the age of 49 years 3 mos. 2 days and is buried in Wyoming Cemetery, Jones Co., Iowa.  They had three children.

            i.  Freeman D. Curttright Jr. - Born January 4, 1896. Died February 1982.

            iii.  Velma F. Curttright - Born about 1905

C.  George Lafayette Curttright - born in July of 1876 in Iowa and died in 1948, he is buried in Olin Cemetery, Olin, Iowa.  He married Lula Emma Tarbox.  George and Lula had six children.

i.  Edgar J. Curttright - born June 30, 1897 in Iowa and died on December 3, 1969 in Los Angeles, California.  He married ?.  They had one known child.

            I.  Edgar J. Curttright Jr.

ii.  Helen G. Curttright - born September 2, 1901 in Olin, Iowa and died April 23, 1989.  Her first marriage was to William S. Elver in Olin, Iowa.  Helen’s second marriage was to James W. Ward in Southern California, to whom she remained married for 45 years until his death in 1975.

iii. Seward Lafayette Curttright – Known as “Rudy”.  He was born March 18, 1904 in Olin, Iowa. Died in 1957 in San Bernardino, California.  He was married three times.

            Rudy’s first marriage was to Edna Hunt.  They had one child.

I. Robert Keith Curttright - He died January 2000 in Oklahoma.  He was married and had two sons –Kevin and Guy who remain in Peidmont, Oklahoma.

Rudy’s second marriage was to Dorothy Kaufman - She died in 1996.  They had two children.

II.  Jerry Brent Curttright – He was born February 8, 1935.  He married Evelyn Butler.  They have one daughter.

a.)    Kim Curttright – She married Bruce Baker.  They have one daughter.

III.  Linda Claire Curttright - She was married three times.  Her first marriage was to John Pierre Duden.  They had one child.

a.)    John Lynn Duden –He married Tracey Mahony.  They have two children.

1.)    Carley Nicole Duden

2.)    Heather Lee Duden

Linda’s second marriage was to Tigi Mataalii.  They had one child.

b.)    Siniva D. Vaipou – Her first marriage was to James Paul DiPaola.  They had three children.

1)      Rachel Lynn DiPaola

2)      Rebecca Briann DiPaola

3)      Renee Nicole DiPaola

Siniva’s second marriage was to Mark Schlaff.  They have on child.

1)      Rianna Rose Schlaff.

Linda’s third marriage was to Charles Davis.

Rudy’s third marriage was to Hazel Catherine Shampine.  They had two children.

IV. Maxine Louise Curttright – She married Jerry Walker.  They had one child.

            a) Julie Ann Walker

V.  Larry Brent Curttright - Larry was born on August 9, 1946 and died on February 28, 1969.  He served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant/Specialist Six.  He was killed in action by a hostile explosive device and died in Tay Ninh, South Vietnam.  His name appears on the Vietnam Wall Memorial; Panel 31W Line 090.  His home of record was San Bernadino, California.  He had one son, Jamie.  Jamie died in a car accident.

v.  Lula Valeria Curttright - She was born December 11, 1906 and died January 14, 1908.  She is buried in Olin Cemetery in Olin, Iowa.

vi. Beulah ElNora Curttright - born April 16, 1909 in Iowa. She married Frank Albert Foley.  Frank died November 20, 2001.

vii. George Lafayette Curttright Jr. - Born December 12, 1914 and died June 29, 1916.  He is buried in Olin Cemetery, Olin, Iowa.

 

D.  David Easton Curttright - born in December 1878 in Iowa, he married Alma Coppess on May 30, 1901 in Iowa.  Alma was born about 1885 and died in 1947.  She was the daughter of Noah L. Coppess and Sylvaretta Miller Coppess.  They are both buried in Olin Cemetery, Olin, Iowa.  They had seven children.

i.  A.J. Curttright - Born January 1, 1902 and died on December 23, 1918.  He is buried in Olin Cemetery in Olin, Iowa.

ii.  Gerald Easton Curttright - He was born October 26, 1903 in Olin, Iowa.  He died on October 29, 1974 in Navarro Co, Texas.  He married Bertha Mae Strother.  She was born on 24 February, 1906 and died on 14 July, 1990.  She was the daughter of John Bonham Strother and Jennie Alma Lacock.  Gerald and Bertha had two children.

I.                    Curtiss Budd Curttright – Curtiss married Joann Taylor.  They had two children.

iv.  John Elbert Curttright - He was born January 12, 1907 and died on February 1, 1907.  He is buried in Olin Cemetery in Olin, Iowa.

v.  Vida Venieta Curttright - She was born June 3, 1908 and died on January 18, 1986.  She married ? Taylor.  They had one daughter.

                        I. Gwendolyn Taylor - She was born about 1928.

            Venieta’s second marriage was to ? Linn.

E.  John W. Curttright - Born in 1880, died in 1881.  He is buried in Olin Cemetery, Olin, Iowa.

            F.  Harry E. Curttright - born in May 1882 in Iowa
