10.  Jerome  Lafayette Curttright - He was born on September 5, 1848 in Wayne Co., Michigan Died: February 9, 1928.  His first marriage was to Grace ?.  He married for the second time on September 1, 1874 to Mary Francis Jarvis, daughter of Isaac Joshua Jarvis and Mary Alvira Oldham.  Mary was born May 30, 1856 in Mondamin, Iowa and died in 1945. They had 3 children.   Both Jerome and Mary are buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.

 A.  First child of Jerome and Mary Francis is unknown except that it was a son.  He would have been born prior to 1877.  Information was discovered in the obituary of Walter L. Curttright.  Gertrude (Curttright) Nace remembers being told that he was older than Walter, and that he only lived a couple of years and died from smallpox.

 

B. Walter Lafayette Curttright - Born: November 14, 1877 in Olin, Iowa. Died: February 9, 1965. Buried in Nemaha, Nebraska. He married March 13, 1904 to Minnie May Colerick, daughter of Steve and Martha Colerick.  Minnie May was born on June 29, 1886 in Mondamin, Iowa. She died on October 14, 1948 and is buried in Nemaha, Nebraska. They had 11 children.

 

i.  Lottie Mary Curttright - Born: August 17, 1905 in Syracuse, Nebraska.  Died: March 12, 1974. She married Louis Rieke, son of Frederick and Lydia Ruegge Rieke .  Louis was born on March 1, 1885 in Drake, MO. He died on January 1, 1965.  Louis and Lottie lived in Dunbar until 1958 when they moved to Nemaha, Nebraska.  They had one adopted daughter, Nadine.

 

ii.    Walter Lafayette Curttright - Born: January 3, 1908 Died: April 29, 1991. Known as Wally.  Buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.  He married twice.  He married Helen Pryor of Nemaha.  She is the daughter of Walter Pryor and Opal Lukey Pryor. She died on February 28, 1999.

I.       Betty Lou Curttright -  She married Mark Hinze.  They had three children.

a)      Stephen Craig Hinze – He married Isabelle ?  They had two children.

1)      Jordon Jean-Mark Hinze

2)      Jason Michael Pierre Hinze

b)      Chrysten Sue Hinze

c)Michael Francis Hinze – He married Rhonda.

 

Walter’s second marriage was to Gertrude Mae Polston.  Gertrude was born April 18, 1907 and died September 27, 1989.  She is buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.  They had one child.

I. Thomas Lee Curttright Sr. – He married Patricia JoAnn Kaiser.  They had two children.

a) Thomas Lee Curttright Jr. –  He married twice.

iii.  Alma Marie Curttright - Born: February 9, 1910 in Syracuse, Nebraska. Died April 21, 1977 in Clarinda, Iowa. She married October 17, 1927 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Edgar Leeon Messinger Born: May 2, 1897 in Baldwin City, Kansas. Died: November 11, 1983 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  He is buried in Clarinda, Iowa.  They had 4 children.  (Agnes, Ira, Norma, Hazel) See Messinger History for complete histories.

 

iv.  George Elliot Curttright - Born: November 11, 1912 Died: February 17, 1999.  He married twice.

His first marriage was to  Inez  Tanner.  She is the daughter of Arthur Tanner and Daisy Splitter. She was born 1916 and died in 1996.  They had two children.

I.  Tony L. Curttright - He married Luray Nolte.

II.  Tammy Curttright -She married Dale Vorce.  They had one child.

                        George's second marriage was to Elsie Cooney.

 

v.   Gertrude Alberta Curttright -.  She married Royal Nace.  Royal was the son of James Harrison Nace and Minnie Bell Nace.  Royal died in 2002.  They had two daughters.

I.   Darlene Irene Nace – She married twice.  Her first marriage was to George F. Earl.  They had 6 children.

Darlene’s second marriage was to Dana Kucera.  He was born September 6, 1936 and died on June 23, 2002.  They had one child.

II.  Starlene Ilene Nace –She married Ron Lee Ziemer.  Ron is the son of Clarence  and Beulah Ziemer.  They had two children.

vii.                Dean Isaac Curttright - Born: August 2, 1918 Died: February 1, 1978.  Buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.  He married Thelma Hutchins.  They had two children.

I.       John L. Curttright - He married Belle Coulter.  They had two daughters.

viii.  John Oliver Curttright - Born: January 19, 1921 Died: July 4, 1992. Buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.  He married Leta Mae Keithley .  She is the daughter of Everett Keithley and Agnes Merritt Keithley.  They had two sons.

I.   Johnnie Joe Curttright – He married Rosa Lee Rice.  They had three children.

a)  Daniel Dale Curttright –  He married Lori Eastland.      They have one daughter.

His first marriage was to  Bernice M. Stiffler - Born: October 7, 1926. Died April 13, 1984. They had 4 children.

I.  Donald Eugene Curttright – (twin of Ronald) He married twice.

                              His first marriage was to Susie Lance.  They had one child.

xi.   Nellie LaVonne Curttright  - She married Robert Benjamin Grooms.  Robert was born on July 15, 1927 in Kansas City, MO.  He was the son of Frank and Augusta Grooms He died on March 20, 1996 in Omaha, Nebraska and is buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.  They had 1 son.

I.  Scott Robert Grooms –He married  Teresa Lea Cook.  They had two children.

C.  Birl Nelson Curttright – Born 1882; died October 15, 1957. He married May 21, 1902 to Golda Violet Druery born July 10, 1885 and died May 25, 1973.  They are both buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.   They had 2 children.

i.  Margaret (Margie) Josephine Curttright - Born March 15, 1903, died May 14, 1904 at the age of 14 months. Buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.

ii.  Ora D. Curttright – Born 1905; died 1993. Married July 23, 1923 to Edith V. Dorste. Edith was born in 1905 and died on November 23, 1969. They had no children. Ora and Edith are buried in Nemaha, Nebraska.
