Most of the shows are based on the adventures of the main characters, Ikki and his highly advanced robot, Medabee. The show takes place in the year 2122. The owners of each robot are known as medafighters. Their medabots are fueled on A.I. and a specialized arsenal of unique weapons. With each victory, the winner will acquire parts from the defeated medabot. The kids in this high-tech world often challenge each other to robattles on the playground or in their backyards. They are all thrieving to chalk up as many victories as possible for the chance to represent their country in the World Robattle Tournament. This is a very important event that is held every four years.

While daydreaming of one day owning his own pet robot or Medabot, Ikki finds a Medal that was accidently dropped in the river by the Phantom Renegade. Ikki's friend, Erika, is in danger from the town bullies, called the Screws. To help her, Ikki uses what little savings he has to buy an outdated Hurcules Beetle-Type Medabot, which he names "Medabee". He inserts the Medal that he found at the river into Medabee and challenges the screws to a Robattle. Officiating is Mr. Referee, recognized for his Class A Robattles in the World Medabots Federation! The rules are simple. The medabots fight one another, and whichever is able to cause the other's functions to crease is the winner! Then the winner gets to receive one body part from the loser. Ikki commands his Medabot to attack, but nothing happens! The Screws take advantage of this chance and bombard Medabee with missiles. Why doesn't Ikki's Medabot move or fight back? Suddenly Medabee comes to life and he easily defeats the Phoenix-Type Medabot, Phoenix of the Rockers Gang. Henry from the convienience store sold Metabee to Ikki. Henry is a guru to the kids, and is himself a former Robattle Champion. Because of the incredible speed and strength that Medabee demonstrates in battle, Henry wonders if Medabee might possess a rare Metal. And the adventures continue from there.

IKKI
Ikki is lively, easygoing, and a bit shy. He has a strong friendship with Metabee, his Medabot. Together, they fight in Robattles in hopes of making it to the World Robattle Tournament. He is also close to Erika, his childhood friend.

ERIKA
Erika and Ikki have been friends since they were young. Erika is a bit tough and likes to boss Ikki around. She always has her camera and her Medabot, Brass.

KOJI
Koji is a snobby guy, who is also an ace Medafighter. He and his Medabot Sumilidon are famous for never losing a Robattle. Koji and Ikki are very competitive with one another.

THE SCREWS
The Screws are Samantha, Spyke, and Sloan, three troublemakers. Samantha is the leader of the group. Spyke is a bit of a wimp and Sloan is very laid back. The Screws are Ikki and his friend's biggest enemies.

THE RUBBERBO GANG
The Rubberobo Gang is led by the horrific Dr. Meta-Evil. Members of the gang include Seaslug, Squidguts, Gillgirl, and Shrimplips. The gang's goal is to find ancient, rare medals.

MR. REFEREE
Mr. Referee is the official referee of the Robattle Association. He is known for his fair judgment.

Metabee is a Hercules Beetle-Type Medabot who works with Ikki. He is a shooting Medabot, specializing in revolver tactics. Metabee is aggressive, stubborn, and hyper. He has a strong friendship with Ikki.

PEPPERCAT
Peppercat is a Cat-Type Medabot, who works with Samantha of the Screws. She has quick fire action and is very devoted to Samantha.

SAILER-MULTI (BRASS)
