Name: RZ-030
Gun Sniper -- (Helic Republic)
Height: 7
m
Full Weight: 25
Metric Tons
Primary Weapon:
- 80mm
Cannon
- 40mm Gatling Cannons
Varient Weapons:
- Missile
Pods
The Gun Sniper was designed and built by the Helic Republic. It was meant
to be a highly manuverable zoid that was capable attacking both ground and
air targets with equal proficiency. The attempt was successful and the Gun
Sniper quickly became one of the most versatile zoids ever to be designed.
Because of its ability to be equipped with a large number and variety of
weapons, the Gun Sniper is able to adjust to many battle conditions that
it encounters. Noteably, the Gun Sniper is also known for being a highly
customizeable zoid with some warriors even outfitting their Snipers with
cloaking systems. Others, such as Leena from Century Zero, are known for
using the vast amounts of ammunition that the Gun Sniper can carry in
little to no actuall combat time.
Name: Whale
King -- (Various)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
Out of all the zoids ever seen, the Whale King is by far one of the
largest ones. While not exactly a combat zoid, it can be outfitted with an
assortment of weaponry. Its main purpose however, is as a transport zoid.
It's large, spacious interior allows for virtually anything to be
transported inside this mammoth zoid. Suprisingly enough, the most common
thing transported in the Whale King is other zoids. Many organizations use
Whale Kings to transport their zoids because of its flexibility as a cargo
vessel. Modifications to the bottom of the Whale King can allow it to
deploy arial zoids without ever landing while its front jaw can be lowered
to allow ground zoids to dismount. The Whale King itself is an arial zoid
capable of flying long distances. It is quite slow however making it an
easy target.
Name: Genosaur
-- (Various)
Height: 7
m
Full Weight: 25
Metric Tons
Primary Weapon:
- 80mm
Cannon
- 40mm Gatling Cannons
Varient Weapons:
- Missile
Pods
The Genosaur is one of the most powerful zoids ever developed. It was
literally the first zoid (to make an apperance, not built) that was
equipped with a particle beam cannon. This powerful weapon required the
Genosaur to charge up briefly and then fire the cannon from its mount
inside its mouth. The one drawback to this attack was the fact that the
Genosaur had to have its legs firmly planetd in the ground with its
locking mechanisms holding it in place while the massive power of the
particle beam cannon was discharged. Along with its beam cannon, the
Genosaur is bristling with weaponry including several shot cannons mounted
on its back as well as having the ability to use its arms, claws, and legs
as hand to hand weapons.
Name: DiBison
-- (Various)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
The DiBison is a pretty heavily armored zoid. Not meant to go extremely
fast, the DiBison is designed to serve as a medium range fire support
unit. Its main weapon is a large number of shotcannons mounted on its
back. These can also be used to fire an energy attack making them rather
lethal in any battle. When used in groups of 3 or more, the DiBison really
shines as a fire support zoid capable of destroying virtually any target.
When ammo is low or close quarters combat becomes needed, the DiBison is
also equipped with horns on top of its head that it uses to literally ram
its opponents causing severe damage.
Name: Shield
Liger -- (Helic Republic)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
Next to the Command Wolf, the Shield Liger is the most commonly used zoid
in the Helic Republic's zoid army. It was specifically developed to serve
as a countermeasure to many of the Empire's high speed zoids. Designed
with this in mind, the Shield Liger was made very manuverable and equipped
with a variety of jets mounted at various points on the main body. It's
main weapon is several small shot cannons mounted under the chest of the
zoid. It also uses its claws as weapons and when so needed. is also
equipped with missles. The shield that all Shield Ligers are equipped with
is capable of deflecting many weapons used against it, both from friendly
forces and the enemy.
Name: Blade
Liger -- (Various)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
Blade Ligers are essentially upgraded Shield Ligers. They are still
equipped with many of the same features the Shield Ligers have, including
the shield capable of repelling many weapons used against it. The Blade
Liger is faster and somewhat more manuverable though and most importantly,
is equipped with duel blades, one on either side of the zoid's main body.
These blades can be extended out or turned full forwards. When energized,
the blades of the Blade Liger are capable of literally cutting an enemy
zoid in half.
Name: Command
Wolf -- (Helic Republic)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
Command Wolfs comprise a large portion of the Helic Republic's zoid army
during Chaotic Century. They're a fast, agile zoid that can get in and out
of a large number of hostile enviroments. They're typically equipped with
a duel set of medium to long range cannons mounted on its backside. This
serves as the Command Wolf's main and only weapon outside of its claws and
mouth. Because it's so agile, in the hands of a skilled pilot, the Command
Wolf can literally jump around an enemy zoid firing on it from a number of
angels. The cannons mounted on its back can also track targets
independantly of the zoid's movements allowing for even further firing
flexibility.
Name: Saber
Fang -- (Various)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
Saber Fangs are high speed, highly manuverable zoids. They're capable of
very fast response times and they work very well when used in packs. They
can be equipped with a wide variety of weapons making them even more
deadly. They're extreme speed also makes them more or less an even match
for a typical Command Wolf.
Name: Gustav
-- (Various)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
Gustav's are the work horse of zoids. It has a thick heavy armor that can
defend the gustav for just about any weapon that could ever be thrown at
it. It's heavy armor slows it down to a crawl however making the Gustav an
easy target. It uses conventional treads to move about giving it the
needed traction to haul the big loads Gustav's can usually be seen towing.
Known for being able to go into just about any enviroment, the thick armor
of the Gustav allows it to do just about anything that it wants. It has
virtually no weapons aside from a few shotcannons mounted inside of its
armor. Overall, the Gustav is a needed element in any zoid force but
simply sucks at combat.
Name: Geno-Breaker
-- (Raven)
Height: Unkown
Full Weight: Unkown
Primary Weapon:
- Various
The Geno-Breaker is the evolved form of the Genosaur. Shadow, Raven's
black organoid, evolved the Genosaur's zoid core to turn it into the Geno-Breaker.
It's an incredibly powerful and well armored zoid. It's most valuable
element is its ability to fire its charged particle cannon without having
to use special footlocks to brace itself against the massive recoil. The
Geno-Breaker's ability to fire the charged particle cannon is so advanced
it can even fire it when the Geno-Breaker is in the air. Equipped with
jump jets, the Geno-Breaker is capable of essentially jumping great
distances. This allows it to move quickly and to cover long distances in
short periods of time.
Century Zero is set many years after the war that once
erupted between the Helic and Guylos Empire. Though at one time, zoids
were used to wage wars with, they have now become somewhat of a sport to
pilot. Rather than rushing into mammoth battles with literally hundreds of
zoids, warriors pilot high caliber zoids in small teams of 3 or 4 members
in head to head battles with opposing teams. The winners recieve prize
money and the chance to move up the ranks in the league of teams. The
losers are left with a repair bill and a possible downgrading in the
ranks.
The
Zoids Battle Comission:
In this world of "civilized" zoid combat, battles are organized
by the Zoids Battle Comission. They have a database of registered teams,
pilots, and zoids to allow them to keep track of who wins and who loses
the various matches. They also ensure that the prizes are awarded and also
keep track of and organize the ranking system. The Battle Comission holds
regular testings of pilots and their zoids to be able to record data on
their abilities. This data is partly used in the organization of the team
rankings and is released to the public to allow for teams to research
their opponents prior to a match. The actual control of the matches is
exercised through official judges which are dropped from orbiting
satalites onto the battlefields. The judges are robots essentially
programmed to be able to make decisions regarding outcomes of matches.
Battle
Protocals:
0973:
Battle mode 0973 is one specifically designed to spice things up.
It sets both teams in essentially a giant maze, or in some
scenarios, an abandoned city. The close quarters combat makes for
interesting battles that tend to favor highly manuverable zoids
with close range weaponry. Because the combat situations are so
tight in 0973, larger zoids can sometimes find themselves stuck or
incapable of fighting.
0982:
This is the standard battle protocal. Each team has a set number
of Zoids the both teams have agreed upon. There is no restrictions
on arsenals or Zoids.
0988:
In battle mode 0988, both teams agree on a certain number of zoids
to go into battle with. Outside of this, there are no set
restrictions. Because of this, 0988 is the most heavily used
battle mode with most teams prefering to use it.
0992:
On the rare occasions that battle mode 0992 is used, it is between
two zoids only. These one on one fights have no restrictions on
weapons or zoids that can be used, but each team can only deploy
one zoid and pilot for the entire battle.
0999:
Battle mode 0999 is just as menacing as its name sounds. It was
developed and only ever used by the Backdraft Organization.
Because they're main goal in any zoid battle is to seek
entertainment, battle mode 0999 literally no rules and no
restrictions. This means that the warriors are capable of doing
anything that they please and are free to use any tactics. The
dark judges employed by the Backdraft Group always announce this
battle mode with a certain amount of, enthusiasm, to say the
least.
1001:
This particle battle mode is used during zoid battle tournaments.
These tournaments are organized by the Battle Comission and are
comprised of a large number of teams all taking place in combat at
once. The various teams participating in the tournament are set
miles apart but in a relatively similiar area. The goal of the
tournament is to locate the finish line and progress your team to
that location. When the teams battle, a small amount of
information on the finish line's location is given to the winner
with the loser being eliminated from the tournament.

The Backdraft Group:
The Backdraft Group is an organization of freelance zoids enthusiast. They
are also highly funded allowing them to literally buy their way out of any
situation. Comprised of a large number of well to do businessmen, a code
of secrecy is maintained by wearing masks to cover their eyes. At the core
of the Backdraft is a small group of highly ranked members. They persue
all of the illegal opportunities that come along that stand the potential
to profit the organization as a whole. Because of their refusal to follow
zoid battle protocals, all members of the Backdraft organization are
unregistered with the Zoids Battle Comission. The event of a zoid pilot
leaving Backdraft in order to persue a ligitimate career is not unheard of
though.
Zeke is the first true organoid ever to be introduced to
the series. Van met him in the ruins of an old fortress that he was hiding
in at the time. Zeke was inside of a large chamber, the exact use of is
still a mystery. Coming out of the chamber for presumably the first time,
he met Van who had been the one responsible for the triggering of Zeke's
release. From that moment on, Zeke was essentially hooked on Van and the
two became close friends. Zeke's first action as an organoid was the
restructuring of a beaten down Shield Liger, the remains of which were
outside the ruins. After rebuilding the zoid core (as all organoids appear
to be able to do) he was able to repair the rest of the Liger restoring it
to perfect condition.
Organoid
Systems:
Not
much is known about the origins of organoids. The one time that an
organoids "birth" was displayed was during Zoids Chaotic
Century. At that time, the organoid Zeke was released from his chamber. A
similiar chamber contained Fiona who as we all know was an ancient Zoidian
known for having a special connection with all organoids. Coincidence?
Because true organoids are rare at best, artificial systems
were developed that carried on similiar functions. Most noteably, all
organoids have the ability to learn from their experiences in combat.
Because organoids fuse with zoids directly enhancing their abilities,
organoids are able to gather first hand battle data and experience. From
this, they are able to improve their own abilities and in turn become more
effective on the battlefield. To mimic this, the first ever artificial
organoid system was built by Thomas Richard Shubaltz. Named Beke, it
essentially did the same thing that other organoids did but was more or
less just a computer inside of a zoid cockpit verses being a fully organic
style zoid like Zeke. This artificial organoid system is known as a
"black box". Later, the design was apparantly improved upon
because certain zoids were 100% designed to include the organoid system
from the ground up. This resulted in certain zoids being dubbed
"ultimate x's" for the extremely impressive battle capabilities
both with and without a pilot.
Zoid
Cores:
The
zoid core is the true heart of any zoid. It allows the zoid to operate and
essentially is the one thing that cannot be damaged on a zoid. When an
organoid fuses with a zoid, it is in truth fusing with the zoid core.
Because the zoid core in turn controls/powers the rest of the zoid, the
organoid is able to directly effect the zoid at its very base level. Once
a zoid core is destroyed, the zoid itself becomes a useless husk of its
former self. This is not always a permanet effect however. An organoid has
the ability to rebuild a zoid core therefor restoring the zoid. An
organoid can also "upgrade" or modify zoid cores. A restructured
zoid core directly effects that outside appearance and internal
capabilities of a zoid. This would suggest that zoid cores are different
from zoid to zoid.
