Creation: Appeared in 1992. This had been part of VA 57 until 1975. Ran as it does now. This is the only VA 457.
| Adjustments: None Posting: I do not know. I would think that it is. Comment: With the coming of 457, I thought Virginia might be increasing its signing of more routes when a state route got rerouted, but this has not been the case. |

Previous VA 460's: | VA 460Y: Was the south leg of the triangle formed at the US 301-460 split south of Petersburg. Explicitly shown on Petersburg insets 1955-58. In 1959, it appears to have been absorbed by the new US 460 interchange with I-95. One idea of conjecture is that VA 460Y was once either VA 299 or VA 299Y, but when US 301 was rerouted this way in 1953, that probably began VA 460Y's existence. |
