Resume for David Freeman Objective: Challenging and rewarding projects that serve my community. Current Employment: Grant writing and program development, tutorials in computer use and web site design for small business, freelance writing for local publications and maintaining websites for two organizations, one of which I serve on the Board of Directors. See writing samples. URLS: Maintains two websites for community groups: Which utilize CSS, JavaScript and CGI to provide an interactive experience for the user. Current interests are to add a database for form input. Have designed a simple ecommerce solution for those customers who do not wish to enter in credit card numbers. Education: BA from The Evergreen State College.
Positions and Projects Wrote a successful Microsoft technology grant for St. Leo's Hospitality Kitchen, a hot meal site, to obtain current software for their computers. Designed a web site for CCAT, a non-profit organization. Also designed and edited, obtained a City of Tacoma grant for operating funds, and pushed through a committee a brochure as a board member and currently Secretary of this group. Served as the Deputy Director of a summer feeding program, wrote grants to the Pierce County Junor League and Lutheran Brotherhood as well as direct fund raising and equipment donations, developed partnerships with Food Banks and other supply resources, obtained contributions from area merchants to feed children, seniors, and the homeless five times a week throughout the summer. As Mental Health Director of North Manor Congregate Care Facility, maintained a caseload of Mentally Ill Offenders and kept liaison with counselors, therapists, Doctors, and the courts for those clients on Limited or Conditional Release. Interviewed and trained potential staff and clients for employment or placement and task oriented training. Interned as a Juvenile Parole Counselor at the Region 6 Office in Washington State.
