When teaching your infant Craft ethics, its very simple. They learn by watching their caretakers. Children learn a lot in their first few years, and most of their growth is in the first year of their life. By setting a good example, your baby will learn how to behave correctly by watching you. Granted, some things you can't escape (like the Terrible Two's) but that's just a part of life. Learn positive ways to reinforce good behavior, and positive ways to discipline negative behavior.
This is where I have problems. I come from a life of child abuse, and when those experts say that children who are abused often grow up to be abusers themselves, they're right. I have to catch myself all the time when dealing with my son. He'll do something to misbehave and I'll start to lose my temper. I then have to force myself to stop what I'm doing and take a time out myself. It sets a good example for my son. He sees me discipline myself for incorrect behavior, and learns that even when Momma acts negatively, it's still not acceptable behavior.
Just remember: be gentle, don't use violence to discipline your babies. Most of the time, they don't know any better, yet. Teach them with a loving hand and show them by example.
