Michael Eddington Played By: Kenneth Marshall Starfleet Security officer who defected to the Maquis. Lieutenant Commander Michael Eddington was assigned to DS9 in 2371 because Starfleet Command did not have full confidence in Odo. In 2372 Eddington was discovered to be a Maquis agent when he hijacked 12 Federation industrial replicators destined for Cardassia. Eddington subsequently fled Starfleet authorities and, in 2373, organized a Maquis offensive using biogenic weapons against the Cardassian colonies on Veloz Prime and disabled the Starship Malinche. Ben Sisko, determined to stop his former friend, scattered toxic trilithium resin into the atmosphere of Solosos III, rendering it uninhabitable. Eddington surrendered to Starfleet authorities when Sisko threatened to do the same to Tracken II. |
