Match Summary:
The
Bristol Central vs. Bristol Eastern match was a roller coaster ride of
emotions for the Bristol Central team. There were times of great
happiness and also a sense of upset when something that we wanted didn't
go our way. The match
started out in what we knew would be a great battle, Kyle Dess and
Justin Dess, cousins, at the 119 weight division. Kyle lost by a decision.
Kevin Fries went out and wrestled well not to give up a pin to Eastern's
Nick Tennan. Mike Fiorini then pinned at 130 which put the score back
close at 7 - 6. At 135, Andrew Cyr did not get pinned which kept his
loss to only a four point loss. At 145, Capt. Sean Malentfont won a
3-point decision. After
the 145 lb match, the match went Eastern's way with a win at every
weight divison, but 189 and 103. At 189, Matt Dabrowski won by
decision over Al Blumenthal. Greg Labbe pinned Max
Saglimbeni at 103. The
match as a whole went to Eastern, but Bristol Central was not entirely
upset with there performance that night.
