Mark Number 2 is a Doctor and has served as a Senior Vice-President of Product Acquisitions since 2002 at MDS Proteomics. Dr. Pearson has a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and was a Helen Hay Whitney Fellow and a Josiah Macy Jr. Fellow at Stanford University.

He is a recognised international speaker on these issues and has been responsible for a number of advanced technology projects in the UK Defence sector including RAMP (Rapid Acquisition of Manufactured Parts).

Mark Number 6 is President and CEO of CARBO Ceramics Inc. and an adjunct professor of petroleum engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Mark Pearson started in the music business as a singer songwriter. His music career began in the sixties, where he worked with the legendary Bill Graham, and lasted through the seventies and early eighties when he released records for both Epic and Capitol. It was during these years that he also started working with Music Vision, an independent promotion and marketing firm. This is the company that would years later become HITS Magazine.

Mark and his wife made the decision to move their family to the Outer Banks to allow themselves and their children the opportunity to enjoy the quality of life available on the beautiful barrier islands. He has been helping families buy, sell and build homes since 1989.

Dr. Pearson joined the faculty of the Colorado School of Mines Petroleum Engineering Department in December 1995 after spending more than 18 years in a variety of industry assignments including research, technical services, district engineering and field operations. His responsibilities at CSM include teaching and research in the areas of Well Completions, Stimulation and Production Engineering.
