Hi all, after a long wait the picture has made it to Lisa's hands and to her web page. I am the one they call "Cadmaster". My real name is Jeffery Pugh a.k.a. Tony, and the woman in the picture is "the other half" Jackie, (a.k.a. Jax). We have been together three years. I have been in the automotive service trade since 1984. My first job in the automotive industry, was in a repair shop where they restored VW Beetles from frame (if you want to call it that) up. Fixing rust, rebuilding the engine and transmission, and a new coat of paint. Then at the buyer's request we would add on aftermarket radio/cd players, wheels and tires, and even tint the windows. When there was no work going on in the VW shop we, also repaired all European made cars and a few Japanese made cars.
After a few years and a few hundred bugs, I wanted to do more so I went off to work in the local VW Audi and Mercedes Benz dealership. It was ok, but the cars never broke. All I ever did was oil changes and brakes.
I hopped from dealership to dealership, but they all had the same thinking, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY and never really gave a damn about their techs. Then I was talked into going to work at the local Buick, Cadillac, Nissan dealership, where I was put on the line as a Nissan heavy tech (clutches, engine swaps, trans rebuilds etc.) and Cadillac repair.
I am an iATN sponsor since Feb. '98. I am an ASE master tech (L1 coming in Nov. '98), Cadillac master tech (hence the nickname) and currently working on Nissan master tech.
Ken Wilson (Ken-CA), Born Newport Beach, California, January 29th, 1959. Started first 'summer' job pumping gas and changing oil at age 13, at ARCO (always big for my age) ;-). Currently Outside Sales Manager for AA Budget Transmissions and part time instructor at SPX training facility in San Diego, CA. California Smog Enhanced Area Advanced License w/Dyno cert. ASE A1-A8 (except A2, working on it) and L1. ASE Recovery & Recycling. Goodyear Certified GM Fuel Injection, Ford EEC 3 and 4, Import Fuel Injection. General Motors Certified EFI/PFI, Body Electrical, etc (about 10 certs). Several Service Technician Guild awards for perfect scores. Certificate of Appreciation personally awarded by Congressman Brian Bilbray for involvement in hazardous materials awareness program in city of Encinitas, CA. I enjoy writing articles, computers ;-), sailing, meeting people and travel. (and preparing bio's ;-)
As a side note, Ken makes an excellent tour guide. Rick and I hooked up with him in Vegas in April 98. Ken showed us the town!!! Without him we would not have seen 1/2 of Vegas. Once again Ken. THANKS!!
Jerry started working on cars after getting out of the Army in 1980. He worked fifteen years in the GM dealers in Baytown, most of that time on Cadillac's. He specializes in drivability, electronics, and general head-scratches. Jerry is employed at a small indie in Deer Park, Texas and is studying at the iATN College of Management Knowledge_ in hopes of being able to open a shop within the next couple of years. He plays piano and bass and loves to dance. He is 41 years old and *SINGLE*!

I have always been a tinkerer. After High School, I joined the Navy
and went
into engineering and spent the next ten years doing just that...tinkering.
I chose to get out of the Navy to be around to see my kids grow, and
got into
the automotive field full time in Sept.84 (had a couple years of part-time
auto service at a family-run import shop while on shore duty in the
Navy).
I jumped into this field feet first, into the trenches, and never looked
back.
Mostly self-taught, I went ahead and took and passed the Master Auto
and Adv.
L1 tests on the first try. I love what I do now, and actually look
forward
to going to work every day. In May of 1998, I was selected to be the
Auto Host
of San Diego's largest web site, sponsored by COX communications, and
have
been suitably nick-named "The Lug Nut". (believe me, it fits!) Every
week,
I write a new article for them and help the community in the form of
email
help/feedback to their questions or referrals. This can be found HERE
By
the way, anyone driving
in Southern California can easily find me on the road...I'm the good-looking
guy driving the car with "LUGNUT" license plates.
My family life?? Yikes!! 5 kids, 2 of mine and 3 of hers...need
I say more?
What a challenge!
