 Training

Go Audit training for all PwC interns and new hires was held at The Q Center about forty five minutes outside of Chicago, Illinois.  The expansive facility, which included seven buildings (most of which were connected by lengthy hallways), two cafeterias, and numerous recreational facilities, was our home for the week, and unless you were headed along the icy path to the clubhouse bar, you literally had no reason to go outside for the entire two weeks!  Although the weather and classroom time attempted to keep us “snowed in,” we were able to escape to Chicago over the weekend.  We enjoyed a variety of activities including dinner and shopping, as well as experiencing the Chicago nightlife.

Over the course of the two weeks, we attempted to learn the entire PwC Audit methodology.  With Pittsburgh’s own Gabe Alejandro at the helm, you can understand why our class was always the first let out for dinner.  What do you expect from a guy with this bad of a bowling form?

In all seriousness, Gabe was not only a great teacher, but also a fun personality to have in the classroom.  While learning the ins and outs of auditing at PwC, we also had the opportunity to meet interns from all over the country.  It was not always about auditing however; we spent several exciting nights enjoying the open bar in the Fox River Ballroom.  Overall, training was an educational as well as a fun experience.
