North Galaxy
|
Where most of the action takes place in the series, the North Galaxy contains many planets that harbor life. It is ruled by the North Dai Kaio and the four lesser Kaios, who each live on their own small planetoids in heaven. It is not until movie #8 that we see any of the galaxies besides the North, as Earth, Old Namek, and Old Vegeta are all contained within it. Four planets not shown below, are: Planet Konacians, Planet Makyo, Cruiser and Planet Yardrat. |
Arlia
|
A fairly small world, Arlia is home to a race of insect-like creatures. The planet is controlled by an unjust ruler, and many of its inhabitants have been forced into slavery. Vegeta and Nappa arrive at this planet and kill the oppresive lord, but later blow the entire system up. |
Arlia - Moon
|
Arlia's solitary satellite, it is destroyed along with its planet. |
Earth
|
A medium sized planet with large oceans and varying climates, Earth is the perfect place for life to flourish. The birthplace of all the human Z warriors, Earthlings participate in martial arts tournaments to prove their strength. All of the Dragonball series and most of Z is spent on Earth. |
Earth - North West
|
This is where Majin Buu built his home during the buu saga. It also contains the forest from which Cell hatched.

Earth - North Central
|
This is where Babidi's spaceship was, and the place where he freed Buu. Majin Vegita and Goku also fought on this spot, which is what gave Babidi the energy to free Buu. The Cell game was also fought in this area, and it was where Piccolo Daimao threatened the chief of the army in Dragon Ball.

Earth - North Central

This is where Dr. Gero's lab was before it was destoryed.
This is where one of the Red Ribbon guard towers exists.

Earth - North West
|
This is where the infamous Korin Tower exists, and it also the home of a Red Ribbon base, and the Dinosaur that tried to fly away with and eat Bulma in Dragon Ball. It also where the Castle of Kami is. Which is directly above Korin Tower.

Earth - Center
|
This is where Vegeta and Goku originally fought. It is also where Future Trunks lives in his alternate future. It is also where the Capsule corporation exists.
This is where Lord Pilaf's castle exists. It also contains the town ruled by the Rabbit Gang, and Yamcha's house.

Earth - Cental East
|
This is where Satan City is. It also contains Son Goku's house, and Gohan Sr.'s house.

Earth - Cental West
|
Goku and Vegeta fought Babidi in this area. Baba's house is also here, as is the location of Yamu's house.

Earth - South Central
|
This is where Goku originally found Yajirobee, and where he and Vegeta fought #19 and #20 with the other Z Fighters.

Earth - South Island
|
This is where the Tenkaichi Budoukai is fought.
|
Earth - South East Islands
|
This is where the Kame House is, and where Goku and Krillin did most of their training under Kamesennin's supervision.
|
Earth - Moon
|
A desolate world with no air and little gravity, the moon is destroyed by Piccolo to halt Gohan's transformation into an Oozaru.
|
Kanassa
|
An odd fish-like race with telepathic abilities lives here. Bardock is ordered to clear this planet to be sold, and easily does so, but not before getting cursed by one of the natives.

Kanassa - Moon
|
This moon enables Bardock's team to go Oozaru and eliminate the habitants of Kanassa in no time.
|
Namek
|
Home of the Nameks, Planet Namek is roughly the same size as Old Vegeta, but has a slightly weaker gravity field. The Nameks call this place their home, and live there peacefully until and evil force comes looking for the Dragonballs. The battle with Freeza takes place here, and the planet is destroyed in the process. Orbiting three suns, Old Namek never has a night. The same Fauna and Flora lives on the entire globe, but a great variety of species exists here.

Namek - Moon
|
A purple satellite, this moon harbors slow moving four-legged creatures with a hard beak. Energy is collected from this moon when Goku is gathering the Genki-dama to attack Freeza.

Namek - Moon #2
|
Orange in color, Namek's second moon contains strange sponge-like life forms. Energy is collected from this moon when Goku is gathering the Genki-dama to attack Freeza, and it is later destroyed by a stray blast.
|
Vegeta
|
Home planet to the Saiyan's. When we first see it there are two races living on that planet. The Saiyan's and Tsufuruan's which were constantly at war. This planet has a much higher gravity level than Earth's. We later see this in the Freeza saga when we are told that the reason of the end of Vegeta was because of Freeza.

Vegeta - Moon
|
This moon proves to be the Tsufuruan's downfall as it transforms all of the Saiyans into Oozaru.
|
Dark Star
|
A lightless, desolate world, it is home of Babidi's minion Yakon. The creatures on this planet are used to the darkness, and use it to their advantage.
|
Zun
|
Puipui's homeworld is dry and empty, much like Earth's moon. It has 10x the Earth's gravity, and is pocketed with craters. The few inhabitants have grown accustomed to its conditions.
|
Meat
|
The home planet of Dodoria, and a fairly normal world, Planet Meat is wiped of all intelligent life by Bardock's team. It is also here that Dodoria and his men jump Bardock's force and slaughter them. Later Bardock arrives and kills Dodoria's henchmen.

New Namek
|
After the original Namek was destroyed, the Z warriors used the Dragon balls to find the Nameks a new home. New Namek is very much like the first, except it has only one sun. The Big Ghetti Star attaches itself to Namek in movie #6, scarring its face.
|
Big Ghetti Star
|
An enormous living machine, the Big Ghetti Star travels from planet to planet, assimilating anything mechanical and sapping energy from living things. Its power is augmented when it happens upon Koola's remains. The Big Ghetti Star is eventually destroyed by Goku and Vegeta.
|
Freeza 79
|
One of Freeza's many bases of operation, it is the only one we are shown in the series. The Ginyu Force is stationed here, along with Vegeta. It is not known what happens to this base after King Cold and his sons are killed.
