Program | New Characters | Summary |
1. Enter Lime! The Planet of Men | Otaru, Hanagata, Lime, Gennai, Obiichi, Tamasaburo, Baiko | Otaru discovers Lime, while Hanagata and his groupies make trouble for them. |
2. Marionette Girl: The Troublemaker | Yumeji, Tiger, Panther, Luchs, Hikozaemon, Ieyesu | Just another day with a 'defective' marionette.... |
3. Big Trouble in Castle Japoness! | Cherry, Faust | Gartland marches against Petersburg, while Panther infiltrates the castle to repay an insult made by Ieyesu. Cherry is awakened. Note in the last scene, when Panther is being tortured, Luchs is smiling. This, along with her earlier prodding, leads me to suggest that she planned to get Panther in trouble from the start. |
4. Cherry Panic! The Great Romantic Scheme! | None | Cherry tries to fit in with the weirdos she lives with, and concocts a scheme to get Otaru for herself! |
5. Challenge From Faust | Bloodberry, Hess | Faust and the Saber Dolls visit Japoness, but it is a trap! Bloodberry is awakened, and chases the Saber Dolls away. Note how Obiichi refuses to attack Lime. Also, this is the first instance of the maiden circuit being used as a weapon. |
6. Passionate Unwelcoming! Flying Love Attack! | Ponta | Bloodberry makes unwanted advances toward Otaru, forcing Hanagata, Lime, and Cherry to team up against the 'witch!' |
7. Getting Rich Quick is A Sour Joy | None | Lime buys a lottery ticket off Gennai. Let the chaos begin! |
8. Love Prophecy Battle Royal | None | Three otaku marionette collectors are after Cherry, while Otaru questions himself. |
9. If We All Go To Gartland Together, It Won't Be So Scary | None | Now that Gartland has conquered Petersburg, its attentions are turned to Japoness! Otaru is volunteered to avert the disaster. Otaru is given his weapon in this episode. |
10. Infiltrating the Dark Empire | Michael | Otaru and company make it to Gartland, and must keep one step ahead of Luchs, or die.... |
11. Maiden Circuits Win the Day?! | None | With the help of the Gartland underground, the gang tries to destroy the Main Computer as the Gartland army attacks Japoness. |
12. My First Kiss Tasted Like Plasma | Goddel, Rubens | The gang find an abandoned hot springs on their way back from Gartland. The girls are still upset that Otaru kissed Luchs as his first kiss. |
13. Otaru's Big Debut! Time For You to Shine | None | Otaru is heralded a hero for averting the Gartland invasion, but his newfound fame turns his old friends away left and right. Can they get Otaru back on the right track again, before it's too late? Obiichi and Gennai shine in this episode. |
14. Welcome the New Year! The Otaru Cup Marionette Contest | None | Goddel, in a strange attempt to win Otaru over to Gartland, orders the Saber Dolls to participate in a marionette contest. |
15. Revival of the Females?! The Mystery of Lorelei | Lorelei | The Shogun reveals the purpose of the maiden circuits, but Faust has sent Rubens to shake him up.... Note that this is the first indication that Mesopotamia still exists |
16. What's A "Living Thing?" | None | Lime takes in a pet squirrel. Tamasaburo and Baiko undergo a mysterious operation as Ieyesu prepares for the future. |
17. Gentleness, Heartbreak and Femininity | None | Otaru and company check out Gartland's latest attempt to take over Japoness. Meanwhile, Rubens dispatches the Saber Dolls to eliminate the Shogun! Faust has apparently decided to take advantage of using the maiden circuits as a weapon; the looks from him and Goddel suggest they WANTED Tiger to hear them |
18. Castle Transform! Rise, Japonessguar! | None | Otaru and company must defend Japoness against both the Saber Dolls and the Sableburg! However, help arrives in the form of Tamasaburo and Baiko.... Rubens appears visibly upset that Goddel doesn't care that the Saber Dolls get destroyed.... |
19. Tiger: The End of Love, and Beyond | None | Goddel has ordered the Saber Dolls (still damaged from the previous battle) to capture the maiden circuits of Otaru's marionettes-- a mission which they know they are doomed to fail.... Note how old the previous Faust appears. Also, Hess is there, which either means he's really old, or he's directly cloned from the first Hess (a secondary clone) as well. |
20. Love Unending, Hearts Distant | None | Rubens has succeeded in capturing Lime's maiden circuit, and it's up to the others to get it back! But, can they do it, knowing just who Rubens really is??? I won't spoil it for you, but this is my favorite episode. |
21. The Big Barbecue of Darkness and Light | Leopard | The gang celebrates Lime's return, while Faust prepares for the future-- in more ways than one. Otaru makes tea cups for the girls, and while it doesn't appear so important... you'll see. |
22. Soaring Emotion | None | The leaders of Terra 2 want Otaru to assassinate Faust... but the new Gartland weapon is about to throw a wrench in that idea. Tamasaburo and Baiko STILL behave the same way as before. I suppose this means that they're the ones who are really in charge |
23. Faust: Warped Sincerity | None | Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry battle against Leopard, while the Mesopotamia begins to attack the planet! |
24. The Maidens' Voyage | None | Faust reveals the truth of the maiden circuits, the Mesopotamia... everything. However, can Otaru and his marionettes make the ultimate sacrifice? Luchs learns how to cry. Sableburg II must've been constructed real fast considering how this appears merely days after the first one was destroyed. And it's equipped with the Plasma Diffusion, too. |
25. I'll Always Be There | None | Lime, Cherry, Bloodberry, Luchs, Tamasaburo, and Baiko head off for the final battle. Just watch the darn thing. |
