Guitarist Dave Paris is clearly A Guitar Player's Guitar Player; he sights his goal is to "Push as many guitars into the band's music" & he sometimes takes an attitude of "I don't care if it's not in style - I'm playing a guitar solo!" A former guitar teacher, he's played in dozens upon dozens of bands since junior high, & combines his background in classical, jazz, rock, acoustic, (& sometimes blues), with his love for modern hard music. He molds these styles together into the musical grooves of Dark Spectacle, writing most of the band's music & handling the role of Producer in the recording studio. He's also contributed to much of the lyric writing of the band, but considers lyrics to "Get in the way of his guitar playing."

When Dave's not playing guitar...he's still playing guitar! If he's not playing guitar...he's thinking about it. The rest of his time is spent chasing his wife Barbe, bike riding & working out. Dave is also a Black Belt in Ju-Kara-Jitsu Karate. Dave is far from "The Quiet One" of the band. Cocky, sarcastic, & wisecracking, it's clear Dave spent too much time watching Mystery Science Theater & the Cartoon Network. Dave contrasts his abrasive attitude by spending time alone with the Bible & in Prayer, & puts himself in constant check that God is first in every aspect of his life.
