Dark Spectacle: the Thoughts on life CD Lyrics

CD song order error

On the back of the CD, there is a sticker that says: Please Note: the song list order is incorrect. The song 'power of misconception' comes after 'it seems' & before 'What does it mean?'

What happened was a miscommunication between the creating of the CD layout and the creating of the master CD disc. The song order was changed on the disc, but the graphic layout was not updated with this change. The song Power of misconception was moved up on the disc, but no other changes occur. This doesn't change the fact that this is a phenomenal project, and that Dark Spectacle feels blessed by God to release this CD and have another dream come true. Although we apologize for this inconvenience, we are confident that you will love this CD and view this error as 'no big deal.' It's possible the CD will be re-released at a later date to reflect the correct song order, so this first issue could become a collector's item!

A hard/metal tune with enough guitars to alienate the dance pop crowd! The wailing female vocals shatter the stereotypical female vocalist pop persona, and the aggressive low end and drums round out the rhythm section. The song structure is along the lines of artists like Disciple, Linkin Park, Metallica, and other riff-oriented hard/metal bands.

Driving guitar rock.

make it out alive (click to view lyrics)

Driven by both the acoustic and electric guitar, this modern/alternative/metal song is in the style of Staind, Fuel, Neil Young, Alice in Chains and Creed. Don’t write this song off as a power ballad; just when it seems like an acoustic song, the electric guitars crash through the speakers. This song features lead vocals by guitarist Dave Paris and electric lead guitar by vocalist Barbe Paris.

it seems (click to view lyrics)

Alternative CHR (Contemporary Hit Radio) in the vein of Rebecca St. James, Tori Amos, Jars of Clay, and Alanis Morisette. Melodic, emotional vocals with Psalmist like lyrics underneath flowing percussion with electric and acoustic guitar tones. A slightly different direction for a hard band, but definitely worth listening to. This tune sports major-label production and sound which shows Dark Spectacle’s versatility.

Guitars, guitars, guitars! This hard rock tune gets heads bobbing and feet jumping at every concert. With the up-front attitude of the music, it’s ironic the lyrics are about humility! You’ll hear hints of alternative, mainstream, metal, and maybe even a little rapcore groove in this one.
