An old "grandmotherly" witch, possibly part dwarfish and part of the Lancre coven (which includes herself, Granny Weatherwax, Agnes Nitt and sometimes Magrat Garlick. She has been married at least three times, to Albert Ogg, Winston Ogg and Soberity Ogg, who all changed their surnames, since they were married into such an ancient lineage as the Oggs. All three passed away. Nanny Ogg has fifteen children: Jason, Grame, Tracie, Shirl, Daff, Dreen, Nev, Trev, Kev, Wane, Sharleen, Darron, Karen, Reet and Shawn. Most of them live in and around Lancre.
Nanny Ogg lives in Lancre town, between the houses of her sons Jason and Shawn. She likes to have all her family around in case of an emergency, like when she needs a cup of tea, or the floor washed.
