The shorts

The waist is tiny 12" unstretched and 15" stretched. Very small considering they are mens shorts!

The initials (or where they were) and the side band.

I have a picture of my Dad (Charlie) in the same shorts on his page 2. I remember trying them on as a child and they came up to my chin now the waist might get up to just past my knees - please do not try to picture that!

Stans Dad, I think, is Levys brother Abraham who was known by my Dad as Uncle Abe. Before Stan became professional he had over 200 fights and only lost 8. A hit to the head ended his boxing career as far as we know. My Dad remembers Stan with bandages around his head for a long time. Here are the newspaper clippings that My Dad found in his attic:
