READ ON

The phrase, "Reading Gives you Power," is so true.  Reading can give you power among many other things.  Most of the time when I'm reading a book typically about something that interest me or that is relative to my life I feel a sense of peace, self healing and freedom.  I feel the peace, because my mind is not on anything else, so all of my fears, guilt, pain, anger or any emotion that might have been troubling me before picking up the book is gone.   The self healing comes when you learn a little more about yourself from the book(s) you're reading.  You see some of the same mistakes you made in your life in the characters you're reading about and how they dealt with it, then you use that information and decide on the best way for you.  Reading gives me freedom, because in reading whatever book I have I can interpret things the way I want to.  Nobody is telling me how to think, how to read or how to feel about the book, all of those decisions are left up to me solely.

You might not have similar feelings about books or just have a difference of opinion about a particular book.  I challenge you to voice your opinions and suggest books that you feel are a "Need to Read," or just a "Good Book to Read."
