My Wonderful Friends

This is a tribute to some of my friends on and off the 'net. I don't know what I'd do without them! I apologize if I have missed anyone who thinks they should appear on here. It's hard to get everybody on. Also, these aren't in any particular order-

~*Steph-o-knee*~

Stephanie (aka SOK) is one of my best buds. We've known each other since Kindergarten. We've been through so much together thoughout the years and our friendship is still going strong. Whether we're watching Iron Chef together, making movies, or just hanging out, it's always a blast being with Steph!  I love the way we come up with creative ideas to "express ourselves". *hee-hee* With all the people I've known through the years, I think we will keep contact, wherever life may take us!

~*Suzanne*~

Suzanne is my other best bud. I can tell her anything and she always understands. We've met in 2nd grade and after a small dispute in 4th grade, suddenly found ourselves becoming closer! She's fun to be around yet we usually call each other up to "do something" and talk for a couple hours. Then we decide to go get a McFlurry instead. We've been through the best times and the struggles. I do not hesitate to be there for her because I know she would do the same for me. SuziQ has seen some of my most embarrasing moments and won't let me live them down anytime soon! She can help me forget how embarrasing it was and help me laugh at myself. Usually when you think about it, it WAS funny! Keep on laughing Suzanne!  P.S. short tablecloth! *L* Hallo Mutti!

£**~~Tom & Jane**~~£

Tom is another special friend in England. He is in the police force in Staffordshire, England and Jane is his wife.  We met over Netmeeting in 1998 and have had some good chats over the last few years.  A lot of people can't believe how well Tom and I get on because of the age difference! I can't account for it and don't even try to! But whether I'm being nagged to empty the dishwasher, trying to beat him at a game of tic-tac-toe, or trying to prove to him my age, they always brighten the day and make me laugh and apparently I do the same to Tom! :) "What-everrrr!" They came out to meet my family in January 2000 and I've stayed with them a couple of times in England...good fun.  Hope to see more of them during my year abroad.

---Alan---
Alan I met originally through Tom.  When I spent a day w/ the police I got to ride around with him for a bit.  Since then we have kept contact through ICQ and have had some pretty good chats.  He is a police officer as well and I can always get the gossip from Alan! ;-)  I hope to see more of him next year as well.

£~*Sven*~£

Sven is from Scotland and is one of the nicest guys I know. He and my sister started sending e-mail in 1997 and we've known him ever since.  He came to visit in us September, 1999 and I got to see his side in June, 2000 and had tons of fun!  He has limited internet time *gasp* but when he does get on it's a lot of fun. (although it's hard for him to get a word in edgewise with all the commotion in our household!) He has done us many favoUrs, including getting me a UK exclusive CD for me and tossing in some very delicious shortbread with it! Thanks Sven! *grin*  He is getting married in July 2002 to his fiancee, Jan and I wish them all the best.  Even though I won't make it to their wedding,  I hope it's a blast and I expect to see pictures when I return there!  Go Claymores and long-live Mountain Dew!

~*Jennifer*~

Jennifer and I have been through a lot. She lives right down the street from me. We love to blast music and are both into drama and did flower girl together. At the end of Sophomore year she became my temorary taxi so we didn't have to rely on parents for transportation. Thanks for all the rides Jen! We also had fun at a few dances in high school. Loveshack, baby! We can rely on each other for a good chat and meet up for milkshakes every once in a while.  She is a good dependable friend.  Oh, and every time I hear Republica or Bohemian Rhapsody, I'll think of you! :)

*Scott*

Well, Scott is...hmm...how can I describe Scott? Scott is the only other one who "knows where the pants are!" He thinks he's the king of everything but he needs me to tell him otherwise. I guess I have been lef  the title, "Queen of Everything Else." I met him when we acted together in the Matchmaker and during one of the rehearsals, he hid THE CROWN up in the costume loft and sadly, finding it was a mission I never accomplished. He can also brilliantly put together a script overnight. Scott has the most regal walk of anyone I know though, I must admit! He directed the One-Act Plays in January 2000 and was a great director. We also went to our senior prom together and it was a really fun night! Now that he's "off" to college in Stanislaus, we make a point to get together to watch Iron Chef and make crazy videos whenever we can.  He's the only one I can be truly silly with and be understood.  Together we are educated in the realm of pants and will  hopefully create our site: The Wonderful World of Pants and Socks.  Coming soon!

**Yusuke**

Ok Yusuke, you've made it to my page! :) I've known him since Freshman year. He's cool to hang out with. I had so much fun tormenting him when he worked at Chubby's. I just couldn't help myself! Too bad they had to close. Thank you so much for the discount! He's also helping me explore the world of mp3's. Without him, I would never know the possible shortcuts though town. Oh, and Yusuke, don't write any opinions on napkins for a while eh? ;) Best of luck at UC San Diego.

~*Ann a.k.a. Loopie*~

Loopie (Dr. Loo, Loo-loo, or even Loo Ann!) is a friend I know through the 'net. We met in the classic Swim Chat and we're always having fun while chatting. It's so great because we always want to par-tay and scold each other for not e-mailing or writing! *Tapping foot* :) Another great thing is that we have a lot in common and can discuss our deepest subjects and usually give advice to each other. There's no one I'd prefer to go to for that!  Where have you been Loo? I hope to hear from you again soon!

*~Lindsey, aka Smerf~*

Lindsey is someone I can really talk to.  The few times we've talked on the phone it is really like I'm talking to a friend from across town.  The hours can fly by and that is dangerous when calling long distance!  We originally met in Swimchat back in oooh, I'd say 1997.  She was always the "popular" one!  We do have a lot in common and one day I'd like to meet her.  In the meantime, we can enjoy occasional chats at night since my cell phone is free after 7pm!   Above is a pic of her w/ (left) her online friend, Heather, also from Swim chat!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their heart to us.

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
