Great weekend. A bit of rain yesterday at Disneyland, but all in all a nice weekend.

I had a great weekend. It came close to making up for the awful birthday trip I experienced!

Today in Tokyo we even made our way to Shinjuku and went to Kinokuniya books where I spent a ton on new books, mostly for my students! I'm crazy, I know that.

Hitomi's goodbye party was sad, but good too. Many people came and we all had a good time. We all ate so much food at the yakiniku party that bowling was difficult afterwards. One thing I'm happy about, Fumihiko only beat me by one point! He's almost as bad of a bowler as I am! We both got a couple of strikes, which surprised the heck out of me!

Our trip to Tokyo was great. The planes were pretty uneventful and Disneyland was great. We did get there a bit late so we had to wait for an hour to get in, but after that, it was okay. We had to get in a long line to get our fastpass stamped for Pooh's Hunny Hunt though. Fumihiko joked that there should be fastpasses for the fastpass line! I think he had a point. My favourite ride was closed, Space Mountain, but we rode Big Thunder Mountain after dark and it was even scarier! It was great. We ate in a couple of restaurants, I especially liked The Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall.

This afternoon, as I mentioned we went to Shinjuku and did a bit of book shopping. Fumihiko even got a couple of maps of Alberta! I was going to get my sister to send them, but it's easier this way.

Tonight we went to a restaurant in the airport and when the waiter was giving me my food, he knocked my glass of water all over me! I felt sorry for him, but I didn't have a chance to change my clothes before the flight. Oh well, they dried quite quickly.

We ate in Tsuruoka before coming home. At home I did a lot of email reading and now I wrote this. We had a really great trip. It was very romantic too! Tomorrow, back to work. Oh no!
