Rainy on and off all day.
I took a cold tablet last night before bed and slept through the night. Hurray! I woke up at 7:00, went back to sleep for a while and woke up at 11:00 with Fumihiko coming back into the room. He'd been walking the dog and was quite wet. Silly man didn't take an umbrella!
We went out for lunch. We had planned to go to a French restaurant in Tsuruoka, but it was closed, so we went to the one in Mikawa. There we had a lovely meal. I had something different for me, Shonai pork. It was really good and I think that Fumihiko was jealous! He had his usual steak.
After the meal we went to Jusco in Mikawa and played games in the amusement center for a while. Man oh man, that place is loud! We didn't have much success, so we left.
We drove around and then went to visit my ex-student to see her garden. Even soaking wet it was gorgeous. Part of me wishes that I could have a garden like that, but I know that I wouldn't really be willing to work hard enough to make it beautiful.
After our visit Fumihiko and I headed to Jusco in Tsuruoka where we bought him a suit! Yep. A suit. I've been wanting him to get a new one for a while and today he took the plunge. It wasn't that expensive, so I hope it is okay, and won't fall apart in a week or something. It's nice, dark gray, wool and mohair. I'll pick it up on Tuesday when I'm on my lunch hour.
After that we went for dinner at his favourite place, Edoichi. It was okay. I had some iced coffee which was a mistake as I now feel very wired, but still was one of the few no calorie/non sugar drinks that they had on offer.
We came home and watched Silence of the Lambs. Fumihiko is trying to tell me that he didn't find it too scary, but I don't believe him. I really liked the movie, especially Jodie Foster as Clarice. She was excellent.
And that's about it for today. I had a really nice day off. Tomorrow I'm off too. What will I do? Tune in and find out! Night folks......
