March 3, 2003 - Monday

A rainy, then snowy, windy day.

Today I had a busy, productive day, but it wasn't too eventful! I went to the apartment in the morning with my laundry and our bedding from home. I decided to take a nap. I had even set my alarm to wake me up, when I decided to get up and wash all of the bedding. I got up and did laundry. I did quite a few loads as the apartment washing machine is quite small and I didn't want to overtax it. I hung a couple of things out on the balcony, but it wasn't the smartest thing as the balcony isn't protected from the rain. Also, a lot of the clothes pins have rotted or rusted so there was lots of nasty bits of metal on my sheets afterwards.

During the day, I also decided to attempt making an iced coffee drink. In summer I love them. I used to go to The Second Cup on Whyte Avenue to get a Chiller, and here in Tsuruoka I went to Seattle's Best coffee or Mr. Donuts. I had to make it the low carb way....decaf coffee, cream and artificial sweetener. Boy oh boy, was it good! It took a while. I froze the coffee in metal trays or bowls and then stirred it every few minutes to break up the ice crystals. I waited until Fumihiko came to the apartment to drink it, but my small samples when I stirred were good!

I also cleaned some papers out of my foyer and cleaned my bathroom. Then, I took a bath. Nice day!

When Fumihiko came by I made him drink some of my icy coffee drink, which he loved, then we went out for dinner. We went to a Cafe and he had steak and I had chicken. Yum.

After we finished dinner we went to a laundromat and dried our bedding. I bought some groceries at the grocery store next door too. It was nice to visit a new store for a change.

We came home afterwards and now I'm watching Susan Sarandon on the Actors Studio. She's very cool.

I'll be going to bed fairly soon. Catch you later? Night night!
